Great Resource to use with Church Drama Troupes!, December 17, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Sermons Alive! (Paperback)
I head up our drama ministry and have used Sermons Alive on dozens of occasions. I find the scriptural and topical reference of the book to be invaluable to finding what I need quickly. If you haven't tried Drama in your church service or are thinking about starting, Sermons alive is a great place to start. Another companion to this, if your congregation enjoys these, is Service with a Smile, also published by Meriwether Publishing. It is also referenced by topic and Scripture; the sketches in this collection are very poignant and funny and guaranteed to keep your congregation's attention. Both these collections ensure that the point of the sermon is remembered, not lost. Drama is a tremendous tool for worship; these books should be in your toolchest!

very pleased drama team director, October 20, 2005
This review is from: Sermons Alive! (Paperback)
i must say that for the money, i do suggest this book. I purchased this book to get our drama team started in our local church. It is a great starter if you know very little about drama. Each skit is very easy for people to learn at particular any age. My drama team ranges from ages eight to eighteen. Each skit also gives a background scripture and props suggestion, very helpful. i again recommend this for every church, our drama team went from performing on special occasions to every other sunday.
