A Real Life Spiritual Adventure Story,

This review is from: Serpent of Light: Beyond 2012 - The Movement of the Earth's Kundalini and the Rise of the Female Light, 1949 to 2013 (Paperback)
It is hard to do justice to this spiritual adventure story. Words seem totally inadequate.
That we have depleted and vandalized the Earth's resources in over a few decennia is a well known fact, as we grapple with issues like greenhouse gases and global warming. However, there are other facets of our lovely planet that we haven't yet been made aware of, at a global level. The 'Serpent of Light' is one such. Simply put, it is the Spirit of the Earth. Legend has it that it moves every 13,000 years from its resting place to another. The area that the Serpent rests in, gives birth to great schoars and thinkers because of the heightened energies. The movement of the Serpent, according to this book, appears to have taken place recently, (in accordance with the dawning of the Aquarian Age) as it moved from its latest home, high up in the Himalayas to its present resting place, somewhere between Peru and Chile. This shift in the Earth's energy was predicted by the Mayans about 13,000 years ago. Anchoring this energy properly in its present home has involved a concerted effort worldwide at different levels of consciousness. In this book, Drunvalo Melchizedek talks of the work in which he himself has played a major part. For the first time in my reading, I find a spiritual action story. Coincidences take place so often that one is surprised that one can be surprised at all, that one has not got hardened to the rapid turn of events. Where, for instance, people whom you don't know at all, but are supposed to meet, turn up out of the blue, where you happen to be, to participate in a complex ceremony that required their presence. Where a group of people, drawn from all over the globe, come together to perform intricate rites, and the joy and exhilaration they generate together, as these ancient rituals are conducted, as the consciousness of native American tribes who have been wiped out, are resurrected from the Nether Worlds. The sense of an unceasing party, full of wonderful surprises comes through very vividly in this book. Drunvalo mentions, also in some detail, his role in awakening and balancing the Goddess Consciousness in the late 1980's. In this, as in all his other ventures, he is mentored by Thoth and the angels. The book concludes with the story of his ongoing interaction with the Maori from New Zealand. The author attributes his success in getting across to the ancient tribes of the world, to his own heart based perception, heightened after years of doing the Mer Ka Ba meditation. He mentions a time during one of the ceremonies which focused on healing the heart chakra, with a globally drawn group of participants, when one of them said that she sensed (at the end of the ceremony) that 'the Tower of Babel was shattered to splinters'. This book has moved me as very few have. It contains many nuggets of badly needed esoteric wisdom within its 270 odd pages, pages that bear testimony to a way of life, devoted to living in the eternal Now with total trust of being provided for. It is not meant to be analyzed or understood, for it speaks directly to the part of us that knows all things and holds its wisdom in silence, the human heart. For those of us who are acquainted with Drunvalo, this book is some sort of an extension and elaboration of his earlier books, 'Ancient Secrets of the Flower of Life' (Vol. I and II) and 'Living in the Heart'., and written in his characteristically humorous, self effacing style. All in all: Advanced Wisdom, very readable, and highly recommended for all, especially during these times of uncertainty, confusion aand doubt.

This review is from: Serpent of Light: Beyond 2012 - The Movement of the Earth's Kundalini and the Rise of the Female Light, 1949 to 2013 (Paperback)
Well, I've read the Flower of Life 1 and 2, and those books were great because they explain a lot of information in just two books. Actually those books were just a written version of Drunvalo's Workshops, so technically he didn't write those in specific. When I bought this book I was expecting to have more info about what's coming in 2012, but I found something totally different. They were the repetition of the same little adventure over and over. They would just go to a place in the middle of nowhere, pray, find some people in their way, throw a cristal somewhere around the sacred sites, and that's it!. The most amazing thing that happened was the appearance of a condor three times ....??? Indiana Jones is more fun than this. What I mean is that if we are looking to read about adventures, we could simply find that somewhere else. I totally believe in these sacred ceremonies, but in my opinion there's nothing to read/write over and over about them. They are very simple to tell, but to experience them!! is the real deal. I would like to see a less materialistic Drunvalo, because I'm starting to feel something weird about certain things. I see constantly the advertising of his former and future books. I don't know, it doesn't feel right. Maybe I'm wrong, but each would sense these things differently. To end this, I didn't like the book at all. I'll stick to the FOL 1 and 2 until I find something better.

Drunvalo is great at telling stories of synchronistic adventures and avant-garde metaphysical info, including angelic guides and ETs who are shaping the destiny of our civilization. In this new book Drunvalo describes how he was guided to participate in ceremonies at sacred sites using sacred objects to assist in the transition of the Earth's kundalini energy line from Tibet across to South America, and the shift from masculine to feminine energy dominance foreseen accompanying the end of the Mayan Calendar in 2012. Drunvalo has some remarkable stories to tell and meets a variety of native elders and shamen as he completes his journey. I don't know how accurate the ideas he presents here about Earth kundalini and 2012 are, but it's an interesting read even just for the window into some native cultures. For example, whether or not you believe some ancient mesoamericans placed their consciousness into crystal skulls upon their death, you have to admit it's an intriguing concept. So I recommend that you enjoy this book but don't assume all Drunvalo says (or his guides say) is gospel truth or reliable facts.

Outrageous,

This review is from: Serpent of Light: Beyond 2012 - The Movement of the Earth's Kundalini and the Rise of the Female Light, 1949 to 2013 (Paperback)
If you are searching for in-depth information regarding Maya predictions, this is not your book. If you want to learn about the earth's Kundalini, this is not your book. If you want to know what will happen beyond 2012, this is not your book. But if you want a book about the 'psychic' trips of an egocentric, self-proclaimed guru, then buy the book. But let me add just as a warning: this book is a 'Castaneda Gone Bad' type of book. Ancient spirits not only communicate telepathically with Mr. Melchizedek but they even leave written 'thank you' notes! I didn't have the stomach to finish the whole thing. I'm sorry I wasted my precious time in such an irrelevant book.

Five stars intended but it registered three by mistake.
This is a fascinating story by a master story-teller. It can be enjoyed from many levels and it is a very important milestone in our understanding of what monumental changes are taking place on our planet at this time. The eagle and the condor, symbolizing North and South America, are coming together in the historic gathering of elders of the indigenous tribes in the Yucatan area of Mexico. Drunvallo is invited to join them in assisting in the journey of the Unity Consciousness symbolized by the Serpent of Light. This Unity Consciousness has been in Tibet and is moving to The Andes in Chile. Every 13,000 years it moves location, as it did from Lemuria to Atlantis to Tibet and now to The Andes mountains. When it moves to a new location a new spiritual awareness enters consciousness from that location and a shift of power from the male to the female takes place. The female spiritual light will permeate human experience and will and will expand throughout human experience for the next period of 13,000 years. We are taken on a fascinating journey through the Mayan Peninsula and Moorea and there we meet the enlightened elders of many indigenous cultures and are introduced to amazing ceremonies of Light and experiences beyond our usual experiences. Many interesting aspects of MAyan wisdom are esplored e.g. crystal skulls, kivas, orbs of light, sacred geometry, to mention just a few. This is a book I will return to again and again and also as a reference book. five stars intended

I'm only a little over half way through this book, and I've already run across some errors that set my teeth on edge. One glaring example is a comment on page 130 that the Anasazi were being threatened by the Spanish conquistadores, hastening their decision to abandon the Four Corners region. Then, on page 133, the author states that the Anasazi existed until about 1300 A.D. Hmmm. Unless the conquistadores landed a lot earlier than recorded history tells us (the first conquistadore, Cristobal Colon, wasn't born until the middle 15th century), we have a little timeline issue here. Maybe Drunvalo's angels know something we don't?
And what's the great mystery surrounding the placement of those all-important crystals? Why make a mortal man find the exact location that the crystals are to be placed, using only his heart? A man who might second-guess himself and make a terrible mistake, landing all of humanity in a real pickle? Is this a wise course of action? And why use the fate of humankind as a test to see whether a mortal man is psychic enough for the job? Seems a pretty inefficient way of getting us to the next level! Not that I would question the actions of the gods, I'm just sayin'... Now on a nicer note, the author is really a wonderful storyteller. Yes, it does seem like there was a lot of trudging through the jungle, mile after mile. But the story flows nicely, and there is no doubt that he has spent a great deal of time in the presence of some wonderfully enlightened people. I get the feeling that there is a whole lot of reading-between-the-lines to be done here. A feeling that we are being given a key to a secret so astounding that when we do finally comprehend what Drunvalo barely understands himself, we will be blown away. Would I buy this book again? Absolutely. But please, Drunvalo, check your historical facts a little bit better on the next book, or at least let me be your editor!

Unbelievable, really,
By
This review is from: Serpent of Light: Beyond 2012 - The Movement of the Earth's Kundalini and the Rise of the Female Light, 1949 to 2013 (Paperback)
To hear Drunvalo spin things, including in this book, only Drunvalo could do what he did, could find what he has found, could tell what he tells. He is like THE annointed one for many tribes and ETs. In this book you get half-believable to mostly non-believable tales like Drunvalo finding a crystal and doing a ceremony at a certain time that had to be done. Time and time again he does 'it' (whatever needed to be done in that moment), and is the man destined above all his human peers to do these things. In the past Drunvalo may have had something that he channeled about the flower of life. But he has become so wrapped up in himself and being the center of attention that he is no longer a credible source of metaphysical information. As someone who claims to be an 'advanced teacher of human consciousness' he should know that such a person would not tell stories about themselves. This book is a collection of stories about Drunvalo doing this and that. There is nothing in here that will help you become an advanced human being. The more you listen to Drunvalo the more you can tell that he appears to be one of Kiesha Crowthers teachers. Like teacher like student. If you are still on the seeking path then start with more reliable sources such as Sufi Master Hazrat Inayat Khan as in The Heart of Sufism OR Native teacher Joseph Rael as in Being and Vibration. The secret of spiritual growth is that no one outside of you can really help you. You must do the work yourself. Set your course and determine to live who you were meant to be. If you need more help get to a country where shamanic spirit plant helpers are legal (how could they be otherwise?) and do some heavy lifting. Wake up to the truth that you already carry the wisdom you are seeking.

I have known about Drunvalo for more than 20 years and expected more from him! He says in the book that he has studied with more than 90 spiritual teachers and has studied all the spiritual practices on the planet. Evidently he did not do his homework for this one. He did not reference gnostic teachings which clearly tell how the kundalini is raised in humans, and as above so below. He is so egotistical, so vague in this book, I simply could not finish it. I just had read the Idiot's Guide to 2012 and was really looking forward to hearing what Drunvalo had to say. I say he evidently still has egos to work on, and as well, the $19.95 cover price is absurd. What I find more absurd is wasting your time reading this piddle. You can learn more from the internet than you can this book.

Very Boring..,
This review is from: Serpent of Light: Beyond 2012 - The Movement of the Earth's Kundalini and the Rise of the Female Light, 1949 to 2013 (Paperback)
This is one of the most boring book ever by the author. I have read all his other books, but this by far was just way too much. Not worth buying at all and very dissapointing. All he writes about are all the journeys he went to in regarding with the Maya and etc the ceremonies,,just a lot of his own personal stuff. Dont buy this perhaps borrow it from a friend..

Some of the material in this book has been covered in past books, on the website, or in books by others (Ken Page). I was disappointed at first because it seemed like a review. But after reading for awhile, the impact of the book hit mne full on. Some of the paragraphs were so powerful or so reverent, it took my breath away. I found I had to stop reading and close the book to allow the impact of what I had just recieved to sink in. Read this book. It's an experience!
