I would think it would be difficult to make a dull, serrated letter opener, but they did it! Even if it was $2 it would be over charging for something that works marginally well at best... I've had a bunch of these over the past 30+ years I've worked in business offices, but this one always surprises me how it rips, tears, but doesn't "cut" the fold of the envelope, even when you "saw" it back and forth. I gave it two stars because it didn't bend, break, or come apart when in use; but I wish it would have fallen apart so I could return it....
