Our Serta Airbed arrived in perfect shape and was well packaged by both the manufacturer and Amazon for shipping. Upon opening the package I immediately noticed that the material the mattress is made of is thicker and more durable than any other airbed we've owned. We laid the mattress out on the floor, plugged in the pump, and turned it to the "inflate" position. The motor was quiet and strong, and inflated the bed in just a few minutes. Once inflated, we laid down on it, and it was clear that it was unlike any airbed we had ever tried. The mattress was firm, and there was no tendency for the mattress to "cup" or "pucker" in the middle while we were laying on it. That night, we enjoyed a restful night's sleep on it, and woke up without any aches or pains, which is better than we get with our mattress at home! The mattress never needed reinflation after the original setup, maintaining the same firmness throughout the night. Our queen size fitted bottom sheet fit perfectly, and there are clips on all 4 corners to tuck in the top sheet so that it stayed in place all night long. The surface of the mattress is somewhat textured so that the sheets didn't slip and slide during the night while we slept.
The next morning the mattress deflated quickly and completely, and upon folding it up it fit in the provided storage bag perfectly. I would highly recommend this airbed to anyone who needs a high quality, comfortable, and portable mattress. This is an EXCELLENT product!

I live in Alaska. Yes, exciting, but the reality is that life is very expensive due to shipping. And the heavier an item is, the more expensive it is to ship.....do you see the quandary? (THANK YOU Amazon for Free Super Shipping!)

I really got tired after three months of sleeping on a camping air-pad on the floor, but couldn't bring myself to purchase a traditional mattress & foundation. Long-to-short, this mattress was purchased as a compromise. I have been using it daily for three months. I am not disappointed at all! The only 'bad' comment I have is a personal one. I find sleeping on vinyl (even flocked) draws off too much body heat so I put a feather ticking under the mattress pad. This is the most comfortable air bed I have ever used! Once I got the air pressure figured out, it is perfect! It does not leak air at all. If you need to adjust the air pressure, yes, having to reach under the sheet is awkward, but not a huge problem.

When I moved, I wasn't dependent on others to help me with my bedding!
I do miss having 'under-bed' storage (like under a traditional bed system), but, Hey! I live in Alaska!

The name says it all ... I've used a lot of air mattresses in my life time .. but, this is the best for the money ... I like the sheet holders on the edge ... I'm not sure I like the air pump being built in - have to make sure you lift the sheets out of the way to find the controls ... if you want or need to adjust ... you could end of deflating it some before you realize you pushed the button the wrong way...

Even that probably isn't an issue - since after it had been up and adjusted after 24 hours .... it is still up without air loss after over a week.

Well worth the money.
