Our Serta Airbed arrived in perfect shape and was well packaged by both the manufacturer and Amazon for shipping. Upon opening the package I immediately noticed that the material the mattress is made of is thicker and more durable than any other airbed we've owned. We laid the mattress out on the floor, plugged in the pump, and turned it to the "inflate" position. The motor was quiet and strong, and inflated the bed in just a few minutes. Once inflated, we laid down on it, and it was clear that it was unlike any airbed we had ever tried. The mattress was firm, and there was no tendency for the mattress to "cup" or "pucker" in the middle while we were laying on it. That night, we enjoyed a restful night's sleep on it, and woke up without any aches or pains, which is better than we get with our mattress at home! The mattress never needed reinflation after the original setup, maintaining the same firmness throughout the night. Our queen size fitted bottom sheet fit perfectly, and there are clips on all 4 corners to tuck in the top sheet so that it stayed in place all night long. The surface of the mattress is somewhat textured so that the sheets didn't slip and slide during the night while we slept.
The next morning the mattress deflated quickly and completely, and upon folding it up it fit in the provided storage bag perfectly. I would highly recommend this airbed to anyone who needs a high quality, comfortable, and portable mattress. This is an EXCELLENT product!

I live in Alaska. Yes, exciting, but the reality is that life is very expensive due to shipping. And the heavier an item is, the more expensive it is to ship.....do you see the quandary? (THANK YOU Amazon for Free Super Shipping!)
I really got tired after three months of sleeping on a camping air-pad on the floor, but couldn't bring myself to purchase a traditional mattress & foundation. Long-to-short, this mattress was purchased as a compromise. I have been using it daily for three months. I am not disappointed at all! The only 'bad' comment I have is a personal one. I find sleeping on vinyl (even flocked) draws off too much body heat so I put a feather ticking under the mattress pad. This is the most comfortable air bed I have ever used! Once I got the air pressure figured out, it is perfect! It does not leak air at all. If you need to adjust the air pressure, yes, having to reach under the sheet is awkward, but not a huge problem.
When I moved, I wasn't dependent on others to help me with my bedding!
I do miss having 'under-bed' storage (like under a traditional bed system), but, Hey! I live in Alaska!

The name says it all ... I've used a lot of air mattresses in my life time .. but, this is the best for the money ... I like the sheet holders on the edge ... I'm not sure I like the air pump being built in - have to make sure you lift the sheets out of the way to find the controls ... if you want or need to adjust ... you could end of deflating it some before you realize you pushed the button the wrong way...
Even that probably isn't an issue - since after it had been up and adjusted after 24 hours .... it is still up without air loss after over a week.
Well worth the money.

I bought this air mattress after a disappointing aerobed purchase. The Serta is very well made, the materials are extremely sturdy, it doesn't leak at all, and is very, very comfortable. I have used this every night for more than 6 weeks. The matress is very thick, but I have found that bedding with reasonably deep pockets stays in place with no problem. Would buy this product again without hesitation.

After reading other reviews I felt confident ordering this product. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. Despite the package labeling's assurance that the product was "100% leak tested", the mattress wouldn't hold air for more than a few hours. Even after deflating and reinflating several times to account for stretching it still wouldn't stay inflated. So it becomes one of only two items returned to Amazon in my many years of doing business here. But kudos to Amazon for its easy, hassle-free return procedures.

I am very glad that I chose this mattress. I actually got it to use as a permanent bed for my new apartment back in February 20ll now, almost 4 months later, I couldn't be more happy with my decision. Since inflating it, I have only used the pump several times to adjust the firmness until I found what feels near perfect to me. I am impressed with how efficient and powerful the pump is. I haven't ever noticed any air loss. It is very well put together with quality material. It is easily the most comfortable mattress that I have ever slept on. It also has sturdy plastic sheet holders built into each corner (a very nice touch). It seems as if they thought of everything when designing and building this mattress. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a temporary to permanent mattress. I feel confident that this mattress will last for a very long time. As I mentioned above, I use this mattress every night. Since using this mattress, I get the best sleep that I have ever had. It is truly a no brainer in my mind. If you want a comfortable quality air mattress look no further.

My husband and I moved to a small studio, with only a click clack bed for sitting and sleeping, so we needed an air bed but dreaded the options available. Then came the diamond coil airbed we have been sleeping on quite comfortably for over a month. It inflates well, holds air and feels as solid as a real bed. We added a foam mattress topper for some soft support because it felt a bit hard. I am very happy with the product and amazon for the super cheap price and super fast shipping!

Bought this bed because I'm in the middle of a move and my memories of air mattresses are not fond ones. So, I was willing to spend a few more bucks to avoid feeling like I was trying to sleep on a leaky water balloon. I purchased this bed because the reviews were mostly positive, and the slip-resistance would come in handy on a wood floor, I reasoned to myself. Plus (and this was the big one) the product photo provided (here, at least) makes the bed look almost like it's a cushy fabric versus a plastic/vinyl deal.
Well, no such luck. I bought a queen size version (note: it is HEAVY and you should make sure you have somewhere to store it when it is deflated; it's about as big as a large garbage bag and about as bulky.) First thing that surprised me was that it was camping tent green--not terrible, but nothing like the photo. And forget about the 'cushy' factor--plain ol' vinyl/plastic blend.
That said: 1.)it inflates very quickly and not too noisy, like a low vacuum 2.) nice and high, no acrobatics to get on and off of it, 3.) fills up nice and firm, and you can adjust it relatively easily with a knob-like switch.
As for actual sleeping--one reviewer here said there is sort-of a 'well' in the middle that creates a sensation of rolling into the middle of the bed. I discovered the same thing. Slight, but still noticable. Fits two people just fine, and depending on who you're sleeping with, the dip in the middle might not be a bad thing. :)
So, I'd have to give is a 3 out of 5 stars. Not bad, pretty good, but not what I expected. Had high expectations and was a little let down, but in general it's a good, solid bed and the heigh off of the floor vs. other air beds is a big plus.

Purchased this airbed for our spare bedroom/craftroom. It is wonderful! Stays inflated all night and does not loose any air at all. Also the pump inflates the bed quickly and deflates too. Company said it was a nice firm sleep.

I decided to hold off writing a review for this until using for awhile. I purchased for my son to use as his bed. It's more pricey than most, but it's excellent quality. In over two months, he has only had to add a little air once. The coils give added comfort. I also purchased a padded mattress cover since it's for nightly use. It's a true queen size. The inserts for the sheets allow for a secure and snug fit. The height of the mattress is good. It's not like sleeping on the floor. This bed filled with air in just a few minutes and it deflates just as quickly, but we keep inflated. There is an area on the bed for storage of the pump cord.
Although, it's more expensive that a lot of other airbeds, it was much cheaper than buying a cushy mattress set for him. I don't want him too comfortable. I'm trying to get him to move out on his own.
UPDATE: After one year of nightly use, this bed still holds it's air. We add a little air about twice per month now. The coils have displaced air at the head of the bed. Now, it appears like the bed has a, built in, little pillow in that area, but as a result, the other coils don't appear to have less air. My son is still sleeping on it. Yes, he still finds it comfortable. My son is not a small person. He's tall and weighs over 200 pounds. In a year, I have only briefly deflated it twice.
Even with the air displacement, I still recommend this bed. It is durable and holds it's air. If in the budget, it's probably best to purchase a regular mattress set for nightly use, but if needed, you can make do with one, quite well. This bed is superior for anyone that has regular weekend visitors. Used a couple of nights per week, the bed will probably last for a number of years.
