This is one of the best cds I've bought. I would highly recommend this album. It's a 2 CD pack with 5 bonus songs and 4 music videos. If you're from the US, I know it's hard to get The Servant's cds. It's expensive but you get free shipping. It's no different than ebay but here, you guaranteed to receive your purchase. So, if you like their music, you won't be disappointed.

I have a feeling these guys will explode soon after the "Sin City" soundtrack comes out. If you want just a sample of what these guys have to offer check out the trailer for Sin City. They are amazing! I can listen to this cd over and over and not get tired of it. Cells, Liquefy, Orchestra And Jesus Says are all legitimate singles. They combine a great number of sounds and awesome lyrics that just make you feel good. With any luck their material will soon become easier to obtain as right now they are mainly in the UK and other parts of Europe.

I heard an instrumental version of "Cells" on the trailer for the upcoming movie "Sin City" and thought "that's a pretty rockin' track".. so I did a little research...

So I found the band, and got the album... and I've very glad I did.

The music is hard to discribe, kinda of a poppy, electronic, acoustic Our Lady Piece, with lyrics out of a Tenacious D song??? Not a dreadfully appealing discription, I'm sure, but very catchy melodies and lyrics that you want to sing real loud in the shower.

Personal favorite off the CD is Cells, but it'd be hard to put any one track very high above another, they are all great, with no "lemons" or off songs in the lot.

The cd's been in my car stereo since I got it, and it's a purchase I don't you'll regret.

This is a great listen. If you like the music from the trailer for Sin City, you can get the lyrical version of it, Cells, on this album. But be warned: you'll want to play it over and over again! Great songs, to be played with the bass turned up. Reminds me of early Radiohead and that's as big a compliment I can give these guys. I hope this album is released more widely, so others can enjoy it without having to buy it imported.

I too found "The Servant" through the instrumental music from the Sin City Trailer, and I had to leave my feedback for this item.

Right now I'm listening to the album. I don't think they actually have ONE bad song on this CD. Its truly remarkable. Most of the their songs incorporate what I would be loathe to call anything but addictive guitar melodies.

If you enjoy alternative rock and truly chill music, you will appreciate this album.

I first heard the servant on the sin city soundtrack which features an instrumental version of "cells" I then picked up their debut album and was quite impressed. Its pretty hard to peg them in a genre. That's not to say they're completely original because you've heard bands similar to them, but not quite in the same fashion.

The album launches with the vocal version of "cells" which I admit took some getting used to after hearing the instrumental version for so long, but its a very good track.

"Liquify" is a pretty odd but fun love song with its acoustic guitar over a semi-electronic beat and singing "shall we liquify, oh you and I" as if he were john lennon.

"Orchestra" is most definitly the highlight of the album and the track that I can't get out of my head. Its instantly catchy, somewhat dark and has a great chorus.

"Get Down" is a good song, but I think it would have sounded worlds better with a dance beat behind it. The title kind of implies that it should be a danceable song but it never picks up. Hopefully someone like Jagz Kooner will remix it.

On the other hand, there's a few tracks that sound like the danceable beats don't quite belong. "Beautiful Thing" is one of them.

All in all, I think this is a band with a lot of potential. They're creative and obviously talented but the lyrics need a little work and they could do some growing musically. This is a band to keep an eye on though for sure.

It took me a long time to decide if I liked the Servant, but once I did-- man. You probably heard the instrumental part of Cells during Sin City, but neither is it their best song nor is it as good without the vocals. I'd classify the Servant as electronic-alt-brit-rock, but there are a number of ways you could go with it.

Front man Dan Black writes wonderfully creepy lyrics that leave you wondering what the hell he's talking about-- but the catchy tunes have you singing them anyway. My personal favorite is "Body," but the video for "Orchestra" is one of the best I've watched recently (or even ever).

You'd like the Servant if you're intrigued by the idea of a darker Oasis, a creepier Postal Service, or pretty cool new music in general.

This is one of the most incredible CDs of the year! I am so glad I chose to try it! It is a really great CD! All their songs are terrific and revolutionary! I love all the songs in the album, especially 'the cells', 'liquefy' and the great hit 'orchestra' of course! I loved it since the start and I knew i wouldn't have regretted it! I recommended it to all my friends and everybody liked at least, well, all of the songs!!! I can guarantee that it is not a waste of money! It is must have album to whatever music you listen to. It is still stapled in my CD player and I just can't let go! The Servant shows real genius!
