This book is very clear, concise, and has great examples to help you learn all about how great Policy Based Management is for SQL Server! Don't be fooled with the SQL Server 2008 in the title this will be very helpful and relevant for 2012 too! There are just more facets that have been added but all the basics are in this book. Buy it and you will see, it will be a superb addition to your collection of SQL Server books!
Great book. Very clear with good examples, I learned a lot from this book. I only had to read the first 2 chapters now I am able to create complex cases to monitor SQL Server and generate alerts on things such as alerting when a session is locked/waiting.
