5.0 out of 5 stars Jewish prayers for those of us who aren't Jewish
First of all, you should know that this book is definitely Jewish. It was written for non-Jews, but it's based on Jewish teaching and tradition. You'll find in there commentaries and prayers from many Jewish Rabbis. If you are not open to rabbinical teachings, this book isn't for you.

1.0 out of 5 stars Service From The Heart
Who ever wrote it before, they got it right - this is a Rabbinical teaching. When I open the Torah or the Bible, I can clearly see that by faith we are all Abraham's seed. This book is another attempt to get your relationship with God filtered through the eyes of men (probably the most sencere, nevertheless, mislead). This book is another attempt to keep gentiles away...

5.0 out of 5 stars Jewish prayers for those of us who aren't Jewish, September 17, 2009
This review is from: Service From the Heart (Hardcover)
First of all, you should know that this book is definitely Jewish. It was written for non-Jews, but it's based on Jewish teaching and tradition. You'll find in there commentaries and prayers from many Jewish Rabbis. If you are not open to rabbinical teachings, this book isn't for you.

This prayer book was written for gentiles who believe in the God of Israel. According to Jewish belief, a gentile does not need to convert in order to be "saved" (borrowing the lingo from Christianity). Gentiles do not have to follow the 613 commands that were given to the nation of Israel. However, that doesn't mean that God has no expectations of gentiles.

This book was written for people who desire to draw closer to the God of Israel, without converting to Judaism.

Most of prayers are the same you'll find in any Jewish siddur. However, most of the phrases that apply solely to Jews have been either removed or reworded. If you plan on converting, I would recommend a traditional Jewish siddur.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Noahide Prayer Book - Service From The Heart., January 21, 2008
By
This review is from: Service From the Heart (Paperback)
This book is not just a Prayer book it is much more than that, it provides a great deal of very good advice about our relationship with G-d as well as lots of other information and links to Noahide groups.

Published by The Oklahoma B'nai Noah Society based in Rose, Oklahoma USA, which also has a growing group of Noahides who gather together. This book is rabbinically approved, and well worth buying.

5.0 out of 5 stars A prayer book and more, November 10, 2008
This review is from: Service From the Heart (Hardcover)
In discussing prayer with a good friend, I outlined the way that I pray. He said that my manner of prayer was quite good, but I should get a prayer book to see how the righteous that have gone before prayed. Shortly after that discussion, Service From The Heart was released. It is the perfect guide book to teach the Noahide how to pray, giving guidelines and approved prayers for the Torah observant Gentile. But the book is much more than a prayer book, giving guidelines for proper living in the world today.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great tool for Noahides, January 16, 2008
This review is from: Service From the Heart (Paperback)
This is a great book for any Noahide. It is a little bit more than a prayer-book. It also has some great information on the 7 Laws of Noah and goes into great detail. I recommend this book to any Gentile that is looking for a place in the world to come.

This book is another attempt to keep gentiles away from all the wonderful things of God that they were supposed to share as a light with the whole world, but they have kept to themselves. There is no relationship in this book - it has learned (I must say - some beutiful) prayers. Nevertheless, it looks like a flip side to Catholicism to me.
