When life shifts from mundane to terrifying in one brief moment, Angie Rivers undergoes an epiphany. Sam considers himself a rather cynical cop, destined to remain single after his mother and ex-wife's rejection of his career. He distances himself from his emotions and devotes his life to his job. Then Angie rocks his world, making him feel and need. Unfortunately, as she continues to put herself in danger as the only person who can identify the leader of an identity theft ring, Sam's need to protect her from danger seems to override his own common sense and self determined destiny.
