I bought this with the hope that my son would get interested in the potty because it had Elmo on it. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it is made. This is the third potty chair I have purchased (I returned the other two). Iis heavier plastic than the others. It is easy to put together and take apart for cleaning. The potty opening is larger than the others, so I am hoping there will be fewer times that I have to clean the entire chair after use. The removable seat does fit the big toilet, so I don't have to purchase a second seat when he is ready to try the big toilet. Lastly, Elmo is cute and says positive remarks when the kids push his hands. This is worth the extra $10 over many of the others.

It is perfect. Its a great stand alone potty. Then when they're ready, you just pop off the white part and it fits very secure over the big toilet, and then the bottom part becomes a nice sturdy step stool for them to get onto the big potty. I have 4 different potty chairs and this is the most functional and versatile.

My daughter LOVES Elmo and he delivers, as always, with the potty chair! He talks in both English and Spanish! The tray is easy to remove and clean. With very few crevices or tiny places, clean up is quick and easy. Elmo does stick out a bit far, so when she sits on it to potty, he preemptively congratulates her, but she likes it! The only problem with this chair is that when she's not pottying she still sneaks away to "play" with Elmo by pushing him so that he talks to her.

I researched several sites for customer reviews in addition to Amazon and some comments almost made me not purchase this great product.
I've had none of the issues like putting the seat back on the base after emptying the waste tub or the sensitivity of the voice activating if you bump the product. With a little of my help, my just turned 2 year old godson can reassemble after using.
He loves using it. We've only had two instances where he soiled his diaper in the two weeks since he has starting using it and that's because we were out all day sightseeing and he didn't have a chance to use it. This is a great change from the prior children's potty being used. Plus this one is very stable to sit on. The splash shield for boys works perfectly to prevent "overspray".

If your kid likes Elmo, I think this product will work well for you too.

I highly recommend the product.

I purchased this seat shortly before my 2 year old son started Daycare. He went from wearing pull ups to regular boys underwear in a very short period of time. It takes lots of patience & work at home & the teachers at the daycare (team effort). My son is fully potty trained now & he still uses this seat when he doesnt feel like going to the big toilet in the bathroom. He uses the yellow foot stand/step included- to pee standing up at the big toilet.

At 1st I loved this potty. My daughter loves Elmo and she liked how it talked to her. I loved the size and the no slip grips on it, but disposing the waste is ridiculous! When you take the top off (where they sit) to empty the bowl there are 4 "L" shaped peg things that fit back into the base. Well my husband missed the back 2 pegs and it bent them (it is very easy to even slightly bend these pegs!). Well after they were bent you can easily push them back but it is a continuous problem from there! It is almost impossible to not accidentally do this so now every time I put the top back on I have to manually bend each peg to fit back into the slot...It takes forever and is way to much work for what its worth! I would have loved this potty if they just would have figured out a better system for the seat to fit on the base.

This seat is good overall, but my daughter had a hard time with the shape. She complained that it hurt her bottom. She is on the petite side, so the flat seat was just too uncomfortable and wide. That said, her twin brother never had a problem with it. I am now using it on the toilet and I really like how easy it is to put on and take off. The kids can put it on themselves of somebody takes it off and forgets to put it back. It is very stable. I really like that the splash guard is removable. I tried to use it in the beginning, but it just got in the way, and I have not needed it since.
I would just recommend going straight to a toilet topper, but my kids were not ready for that. They were petrified of sitting on the toilet, and this seat was perfect to start. And when they were ready to make the transition, I just used the seat. Very convenient!
As a final note, I am about to transition this chair to the car for emergencies. I have upgraded to a bigger potty seat, and this is the only one my son will go in now. So, for emergencies on road trips, I just use a portable liner in the bucket and voila! I have definitely gotten my money's worth out of this chair!

This potty really motivated my daughter. She was so excited to hurry up and use it. Great, easy to clean and turns into a step stool. The only downer is that Elmo can get kind of annoying.
