ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!!!, May 24, 2006
This review is from: Sesame Street 2-in-1 Activity Center - Patty Cake (Baby Product)
This playcenter, by far, is the safest one I've seen offered. I took a walk through Babies R Us and I looked at the other activity centers with my 8 month old son. A few of the displays I saw scared the [...] out of me because you can see their design flaws; where other kids ripped some of the toys out, cracked the plastic props they were connected to, or where the base of the toy could not support the force of the child. In fact, in some of the play centers, you can actually see the plastic twisted and mishaped where someone had to have yanked at it a good too many times until it snapped off, leaving sharp remenants. Then, there was the movement factor--one activity center let baby circle around it, not in it, and it was great on the rug area in the aisle, but once I moved it to the tile/smooth surface flooring, the whole center started wobbling and following the baby everytime he jumped or leaned. Scary! The Sesame Street play center, however, actually has a mechanism that cushions up and down movement while allowing the baby to maneuver from side to side, safely, freely twisting around and around. This play center is bright, has great activities on it that promote 360 degrees of learning--colors, cause and effect, reading, coordination, music/song, etc. There aren't ANY hazards I have noticed where my son can pull and snap one of the toys off and get injured--no pointy toys dangling from elastic bands, no puppets propped up by a plastic stick, etc. He can't choke on the little colored ping pong balls that come with it, either--though he has managed to roll a few under furniture that's hard to reach under--but that's what broomsticks are for. Nevertheless, he is never bored with this play center. And, this play center will grow with him; it turns into a push-walker, too. The Sesame Street Activity Center is well worth the price.

love this item!, April 24, 2006
This review is from: Sesame Street 2-in-1 Activity Center - Patty Cake (Baby Product)
I got this for my son Alex just after easter and he loves to be in it. It takes him a couple of moments to get used to it at first then he has a ball in it. My 2 year old daughter Dominique likes the toys on it too! The toys on it was just a little hard to put together my husband had to help me put them on. It keeps him busy so I can get some stuff around the house done. It is a little pricey but well worth it. I think I will get my money's worth out of it.

Great exersaucer, but...., December 18, 2006
This review is from: Sesame Street 2-in-1 Activity Center - Patty Cake (Baby Product)
I am in violent agreement with all the reviewers- it is a well made products, the adorable toys are safe, fun and amusing-and yes-it was rather difficult to assemble.
It is a fantastic exersaucer-as long as the base is attached.
We squeezed several good months of use so it is worth the money, but the "walker" conversion does *not* work well on carpet. If you use this walker on carpet, be warned-this baby tips over! I was lucky the first time my baby girl used it and attempted to walk-she tips right over and I caught the whole thing. Right then and there my husband put it in the garage, where it meets its joyous, but abrupt, demise.
Just exercise caution-use it on flooring (our home is 90% carpet) and all may be well.
