ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!!!,

This review is from: Sesame Street 2-in-1 Activity Center - Patty Cake (Baby Product)
This playcenter, by far, is the safest one I've seen offered. I took a walk through Babies R Us and I looked at the other activity centers with my 8 month old son. A few of the displays I saw scared the [...] out of me because you can see their design flaws; where other kids ripped some of the toys out, cracked the plastic props they were connected to, or where the base of the toy could not support the force of the child. In fact, in some of the play centers, you can actually see the plastic twisted and mishaped where someone had to have yanked at it a good too many times until it snapped off, leaving sharp remenants. Then, there was the movement factor--one activity center let baby circle around it, not in it, and it was great on the rug area in the aisle, but once I moved it to the tile/smooth surface flooring, the whole center started wobbling and following the baby everytime he jumped or leaned. Scary! The Sesame Street play center, however, actually has a mechanism that cushions up and down movement while allowing the baby to maneuver from side to side, safely, freely twisting around and around. This play center is bright, has great activities on it that promote 360 degrees of learning--colors, cause and effect, reading, coordination, music/song, etc. There aren't ANY hazards I have noticed where my son can pull and snap one of the toys off and get injured--no pointy toys dangling from elastic bands, no puppets propped up by a plastic stick, etc. He can't choke on the little colored ping pong balls that come with it, either--though he has managed to roll a few under furniture that's hard to reach under--but that's what broomsticks are for. Nevertheless, he is never bored with this play center. And, this play center will grow with him; it turns into a push-walker, too. The Sesame Street Activity Center is well worth the price.

I got this for my son Alex just after easter and he loves to be in it. It takes him a couple of moments to get used to it at first then he has a ball in it. My 2 year old daughter Dominique likes the toys on it too! The toys on it was just a little hard to put together my husband had to help me put them on. It keeps him busy so I can get some stuff around the house done. It is a little pricey but well worth it. I think I will get my money's worth out of it.

Great exersaucer, but....,

I am in violent agreement with all the reviewers- it is a well made products, the adorable toys are safe, fun and amusing-and yes-it was rather difficult to assemble. It is a fantastic exersaucer-as long as the base is attached. We squeezed several good months of use so it is worth the money, but the "walker" conversion does *not* work well on carpet. If you use this walker on carpet, be warned-this baby tips over! I was lucky the first time my baby girl used it and attempted to walk-she tips right over and I caught the whole thing. Right then and there my husband put it in the garage, where it meets its joyous, but abrupt, demise. Just exercise caution-use it on flooring (our home is 90% carpet) and all may be well.

Anything that educates and keeps my baby busy for more than 15 minutes is a break for me and my back!!! This product is a great way to play with your baby while not having to crunch yourself while doing so!!! Elmo is such a cutie and the colors are great!

A little hard to assemble, but well worth it,

I got this for my six-month-old son who hasn't been very comfortable in some other play centers I put him in, but he seems to love this one even though his toes barely touch the bottom!I bought it just for the activity center, not for the convert-to-walker feature that we may or may not ever use. Note: the walker feature is not as it may appear at first glance... the walker on this product is more like a 'push the shopping cart' toy than a traditional surround walker you may see on store shelves. The activity center toys are all very sturdy and well-made and I have no worries about any parts breaking off. This was a key factor in my decision to purchase this item. The seat height adjusts via a strap under the seat that elongates or shortens the "bucket" seat. This is the only weakness of this product, in my opinion, is that the height is not as adjustable as with some other activity centers that have adjustable legs or an adjustable floor surface. Assembly took about 45 minutes for me, and I consider myself pretty good at following directions and assembling things! It was not an easy job, but once you get it together, this thing isn't going to come apart. The toys, in particular, took some muscle to snap down onto the play surface. But that underscores my satisfaction on the sturdiness and durability of this product.

Amazing and Totaly Worth It,

I was looking for a product that help me entertain my baby girl while I'm busy preparing her diaper bag for next day care. Bouncer seat was great for this purpose until 4 months but became unsafe when she started using the toy bar as handler to sit up right.I bought this activity center about a month ago and is so good, she stays sometimes even a complete hour playing, she loves the balls and the patty cake monsters. The toys are very well balanced, it has different textures and sounds, many characters, cause-effect toys and a useful compartment for the balls that come with it. It has a little space in the tray which is enough to add her lamaze colorful mouse and a couple of other small toys she loves. I've been using to create a nice and fun environment to start ablactation. Besides, all the toys assemble perfect so it is impossible for babies to take them out, the plastic feels very firm and has excellent finish (no rough borders)and you can adapt the seat size while your baby grows. My biggest concern is where to put it away when my baby stops using it because is very bulky and doesn't folds, but anyway I'm really happy with this purchase.

Exersaucer is great...walker not so much,

The exersaucer is great and all the toys amused my son. I have absolutely no complaints for the saucer part, however when converting to a walker, first my son was not ready to toally give up the saucer and it is a pain to keep insertig the walker and removing it, Second the walker is not sturdy at all. My son uses a wooden rocking chair to guide himself around the house and does well. When using the walker piece, he fell numerous times, it is very wide and hard to steer without help. He steers the rocking chair just fine so I am looking for a narrower stand up walker for him as he still loves to stand in the saucer. He is 10 months and cruising like crazy but this walker is a big thumbs down.

We got this for our 4 month old daughter. We got it because it converts into a walker when she gets bigger. She really likes the singing and moving Elmo/Cookie Monster! It's really cute.I do think it could be a bit more sturdy, especially the walker. She's not big enough to use the walker yet, so I can't give my opinion on that. It seems like a good deal for the money.

Excellent product. Keeps our 6 mos. old grandaughter busy. Without it keeping her satisfied would be difficult.
