Sesame Street: Abby in Wonderland

This is the first time I've seen the Abby character in the Sesame Street programs and she sure is cute! She has a darling voice which the little ones seem to find fascinating. Sesame Street always does a great job with their DVD's and they're a favorite here. It's nice that this one is a little longer at 40 minutes than the typical 30 minutes which seems to fly by.

The voices are cute, the movie is colorful with lots of activity and the story which is a take off on Alice in Wonderland with Abby taking the part of Alice is a good one. The Sesame Street cast takes the other parts, like the Cheshire Cookie Cat or Bert and Ernie as Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee.

About the only thing I would change and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it isn't a "Fast Play" or auto start DVD. You have to wait for the menu to come up and click on play. It's nice to have movies which start over on their own like the Sesame Street Sleepytime Songs and Stories. But all in all, I'd say this is a good addition to the collection.

Natalie loves Abby. Natalie goes non-stop. Abby slows her down for a while so Granny can catch her breath. Thank God for Abby!

My 2 year old daughter loves Abby Cadabby and asks for this movie constantly. She laughs hysterically at Abby's attempts at magic and the word "poof". Abby in Wonderland is a big hit in our household!

My 18 month old loves Sesame Street so I knew this would be right up her alley. She loves all the songs and it does a good job of keeping her interest. She doesn't make it all the way through the DVD but will watch about 20 minutes before moving on to something else. I'm sure the older she gets the more of the movie she will watch. It's a very cute DVD and I would definitely buy as a gift for other Sesame Street fans.

This movie is beautifully done. The songs are great, the muppet costumes are lovely, the story is classic. My 2 year old watches it over and over and neither of us have gotten sick of it yet. I wish Sesame Street would make more movies of this caliber!

The movie is adorable!! I purchased it when my daughter was 1 year. She loves Abby and I don't mind it either.

Wonderful movie! My 2 year old daughter loved it! Neat spin on an old story - would recommend to anyone with preschool aged children.

Sesame Street: Abby in Wonderland

This is the first video that I have ever seen that can keep a group of 5 year olds MESMERIZED for the entire program! This production is very educational as well as entertaining! Highly recommended!

This is a cute DVD. While it's only about 40 mins long, I find this the perfect length for a 2 year old. Basically, the story follows the Alice in Wonderland story with Abby as alice, Elmo as the white Rabbit, Oscar as the King of Hearts, Count as the "Counterpillar", Cookie Monster as the Cheshire Cat and Grover as the Mad Hatter.

I think the person who reviewed this DVD as "boring" was probably expecting a Disney Pixar production or something. This DVD (I wouldn't even call it a "movie" really) is similar to Sesame Street - some scenes are about rhyming, some about counting and some about letters. But it all flows within the plot of Alice in Wonderland. But no, it's not a huge budget blockbuster like Toy Story or something. Any kid who loves Sesame Street or Abby will really like it.

The only thing that confused my 2 year old is that Elmo looks REALLY different as the rabbit and i had to explain to her many times that elmo was the bunny (she loves Elmo and was disappointed he disappeared quite quickly).

So, if your kid loves Elmo or Abby or Sesame Street in general, buy it. But if your kid is not so into Sesame Street and prefers proper feature length films like Toy Story, give it a miss.
