I was so excited to see that this was on sale, especially after seeing the picture of the baby inside the toy under the customer photos. When it arrived, I was very disappointed. The picture is clearly of the larger version of this, and it doesn't tell you that. This is actually quite small. When I ordered, there were no dimensions listed in the description, I'm not sure if they changed it. It's only about a 15 inches tall and wide.

Also, the toy isn't really that great. The bead thing is neat, but the sliding puzzles on the sides are pretty pointless as you can only slide them about an inch. The music drum thing is attached to a very short cord, so it's hard to use it on the xylophone. It is relatively durable though, made of nice wood, so it will probably last. But then again, my son barely plays with it, so he wont have a chance to break it anyway.

First of all, please realize that the customer pictures of this item are totally off. This thing is a foot cube, so there's no way you could fit any baby outside of a newborn inside of it.

That being said, when the cube first showed up, it seemed ok outside of the size, and my 2 1/2yr old son and 9-month old daughter seemed to enjoy it. That is, until my son realized that the wires on top were bent in such a way that there was no way for the Elmo block to move at all. Shoddy at best. We've had this cube for a total of 3 days now, and already at least 4 stickers are off of it, due to not being placed center on the piece they were on, or just low-quality stickers. My children still play with the cube, as currently it provides no real safety hazard, but the price I paid for this cube was entirely too much considering the low quality.

This is a pretty good value, most of these are much more expensive. I just wish the top latched on somehow, rather than being loose. It's nice that you can flip the top for storage, but since it's loose, you can't really carry it by the handle that's supplied. Other than that, we like it a lot.

My older children all wanted to play with it too. Although this cube was smaller than I expected (the customer-posted picture is for a larger item), I was happy with the product. We especially like the Sesame street beaded maze that tops the cube and the side with the abacus, colors, and Sesame Street characters. You can't see it on the picture, but there is also a side with a zither, xylophone, bell and mallet for musical play. It looks like a great tool to teach counting and colors.

As far as the quality is concerned, there are a couple of stickers on one side that could come off if picked too much, but nothing a little white glue won't fix. I would not consider this item a hazard by any means. No problems with chipping paint or splinters mentioned by another customer - sounds as if there may just be something defective about that item. Good value for the price I paid.

I was so excited to get this today. That excitement turned to disappointment when I saw the box it came in. First, it was significantly smaller than expected. Clearly, the customer picture added here was for one of a much larger size (or that child is the size of a small doll!). The one I received could barely fit something the size of a paperback book! The construction is shoddy, the "lid" doesn't even fit on the top, the stickers are coming off and I noticed paint chipping on the wood pieces on the side. My son hasn't even touched it and it's falling apart. I would never let him play with this...there are too many things that could hurt him (including splinters in the cheap wood).

It's the first time I'm unhappy with an order.

This was a gift for our 12-month-old daughter for Christmas. I was so disappointed when I opened it. The size is much smaller than the ones you see at doctor's offices. It also arrived with several stickers off or about ready to fall off. The quality is just not there considering the price. I should have sent the thing back but I took the extra measures to contact the company that makes it and report that I feel it could be considered a safety issue with the stickers coming off and geared to the toddler age group where everything goes into their mouth. I was advised that my only remedy would be to return it to Amazon and they could not guarantee how it was stored in the warehouse, which might be the cause of the stickers losing their adhesiveness. I went and bought a bottle of Mod Podge and resealed the entire cube which seemed to do the trick, but I can assure you I thought it was ridiculous the whole time that for the price I was having to do this. I was also very disappointed that Sesame Street would put their name on this product. Naively I felt I could buy with confidence a product for a toddler that is associated with Sesame Street. I have seen this EXACT same activity cube at Wal-Mart in their generic brand line minus the Sesame Street characters for almost half the price. If you still want to purchase the product go to Wal-Mart and pay a lot less for it otherwise I would keep looking for an activity cube or just swing your child by a doctors office for free.

my granddaughter loves this toy....I got it for her about 1-1/2 years ago and she still hauls it out of the closet every time she comes to visit...she is going on 3 and I would reccommend it for ages 1-4

Got this toy for my 2yr old who loves sesame street. Great toy, only thing I dislike is that the top does not secure to the cube,great storage box for smaller toys though.

I have been extremely dissapointed with this toy over the past 6 months. I bought it for my 2 year old son (who loves Sesame Street) last Christmas. First, the box it came in was much too large for the product and little to no packing material was included. It was rolling around in the box during shipment. Since our play area is small, the size didn't bother me, but the stickers began falling off almost immediately. Once my son noticed a few starting to lift off, he began peeling them off and sticking them on furniture. I've had to use a glue stick to salvage some of them. More distressing was that a peice of wood from the xylophone broke off during play that he could have easily swallowed. Also he hasn't played with it much because it is so small and the moveable peices move such a short distance. This product is poorly made for the price, and I am shocked Sesame Street still has their name on it and it is still on the market. If I could send it back at this point, I would do so.
