Never to early,
By Useafriend@aol.com (Southern California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sesame Street: Baby and Me (CD-ROM)
I just bought this for my 11 month old son. He really enjoys the pee-a-boo game. He quickly learned that when he hit the key board (I do mean hits), Elmo or Big Bird (his two favorites) peek out from a different hiding spot. At only 11 months, his attention span is short, but in one of the games you can add your own pictures. My son loves this. He will sit for 20 minutes and hit the keys to see a new picture of his family and himself. I highly recomend this as a first, computer game.

Far superior to Jumpstart Baby for the under two set.,

This review is from: Sesame Street: Baby and Me (CD-ROM)
Having a 17 month old grandson who adores Reader Rabbit Playtime for Baby, but hates Jumpstart Baby, I bought Baby and Me with some hesitation. It has been happily accepted, especialy the peek-a-boo game and the animal sounds game. A feature that is most welcome is that there are some games in which the child taps a key (any key) and the adult runs the mouse (great for now) but it also has games in which the child runs the mouse. This would seem to extend the life of the software into the three year old range and make a nice transition into the next level of toddler computer games.

Fun and Educational Software,

My 14 month old absolutely adores this software program. The Peek-a-boo game makes him laugh out loud, pointing at the screen, and hitting keys on the keyboard. They don't have to be computer proficient to love these games. I would recommend it highly.

My First Purchase,

This review is from: Sesame Street: Baby and Me (CD-ROM)
I directly credit this software to helping my son learn to count to 10 and his rapidily learning the alphabet. He is 22 months old and counts from 1 to 10 on his own. We usually spend about 30 minutes every few days playing the different games on this CD, and my son loves the characters and the songs/games, and it's a great interaction opportunity for the two of us. It's a great first purchase if you're not sure what to buy for your childs intro to the computer.

Baby & Me Very Limited in Content of Activities,
By A Customer
This review is from: Sesame Street: Baby and Me (CD-ROM)
I have a 16 month old daughter who has loved several other interactive computer programs designed for babies, including JumpStart Baby. She gets bored very quickly with Sesame Street Baby & Me, because the activities are very limited. For example, the program includes a game about shapes, but displays only four shapes over and over. There are several games that my daughter enjoys, such as "Do What I Do Games" and "Do What I Do Songs," but even these games repeat the same activities too frequently and don't include enough variety to keep her attention very long. I would recommend this software to families that already have a variety of software and would like something to use occasionally. If you are planning on using this software often, it could be too monotonous.

Best Toddler Game for 12+ Months,
By Jeff A (Glenview, IL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sesame Street: Baby and Me (CD-ROM)
My daughter loves this game and plays it almost every day. She started when she was about 12 months old and was able to do a lot of the activities. The games are divided into mouse-based and keyboard-based games. What's nice about the mouse games is that she can wiggle the mouse around and get positive feedback. The mouse games consist of unwrapping presents and simple coloring games (just moving the mouse colors things in.) All of the original Sesame Street characters and actors perform the voices in this great game. There are sing-along songs, letters shapes and numbers, and lots of other educational activities.

Unbelievable,

I was astounded with watching my little 2 year old run the mouse, with such ease too! This program is great for getting little ones comfortable with the computer. The games are fun, especially, "Open the Present"! My daughter is ready to go on to more difficult programs thanks to "Baby and Me"!

I bought Baby & Me for my daughter when she was 1 year old! We both love it. It helps her practice using the keyboard and the mouse, and also teaches letters, numbers, colors, and shapes. It also has fun songs and activities. My daughter is now 3 and is quite the computer kid. Baby & Me really gave her a great introduction!

too expensive by Reader Rabbit Toddler instead,

This review is from: Sesame Street: Baby and Me (CD-ROM)
My 20 month old son who really loves playing with his Reader Rabbit Toddler CD was not at all enthused by this one. I think it is really expensive and nothing outstandingly. You are better of buying Reader Rabbit Toddler, which has similar games like coloring, songs and animal sounds and also really cheap. Please try Reader Rabbit Toddler before you buy this one. I think it is not worth the investment.

Easy for ages 1-3 to use!,

This is a great game for young toddlers. It is very easy for them to use. It helps ages 1-3 learn to use the mouse. The games talks to the children with a lot of encouragment. My 2 year old plays it all day. He just recently scratched up the disk...even though on a family of six budget, I am actually putting forth the money to get another one. It's that good.
