I remember growing up with this children's cookbook--begging my parents to buy the ingredients for a particular recipe, so that I could whip up some Oscar's Junk Food Pie or Snuffle's Truffles. Not all of the recipes are desserts, but they're all sure to please kids, who will be frustrated with adult co-preparers who aren't as dedicated to replicating the presentations as illustrated in the book's pages, which are all fascinating and delightful. Even if you never prepare any of the recipes called for, this cookbook is a full course meal in itself.
