4.0 out of 5 stars Kiddo's love Cookie Monster! November 10, 2010
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
I read a lot of the reviews for the Sesame Street Alphabet game and was hesitant to buy either game since it had mostly horrible reviews. Lo and behold a few days ago my husband came home with this one. My 2-1/2 year old cannot play some of the games by himself as he has problems getting the controller to respond properly and some of the games seem a bit advanced for him right now.

However, we play as a family...letting him use the controller for the games he can play and then helping him by an adult using the controller and he points at the correct answer on the screen. It's a pretty fun time. I'm guessing he'll master the controller soon and will be able to play on his own. We also use the Cookie Monster cover on the controller and have had no issues....as you only use the 2 button and this cover doesn't cover that button.

All that said, we absolutely love playing this game together. Lots of laughter and he's learning his numbers! Already put the other game on our wish list for Christmas since he gets such a kick out of this one!

4.0 out of 5 stars Love this game! November 14, 2010
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
We are working with our 3 year old daughter on her numbers and this was right up our alley! She loves playing it and has so much fun! There are some games that are over her head and she needs help figuring out the answers, but we are play as a family! She doesn't seem to have much difficulty moving the controller to get it to do what she wants! Overall we love this game!!!

Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
We just got our Wii and our kids are so excited. They love playing on the computer and my 2 year old plays a Sesame Street one pretty well by herself so I thought this would be great for her and my preschooler (age 4). It is grossly overpriced for the games on there - you are paying for the Sesame Street name. You don't even get to personalize it with their name. They get assigned a shape & number as their profile. Lame. The remote is unresponsive which is frustrating because she will put it on the right answer (after much work!) and then it suddenly moves. It is completely boring for my 4 year because she knows her shapes, colors and numbers so it basically has become a game just for my 2 year old. It is very very basic - a good thing for your very young player, but I would have expected that you can select levels of learning. I am pretty disappointed that my 4 year old can't be challenged by this game. It's also frustrating if you have a very independent child (like I do!) who wants to do the remote all by themselves and it won't respond. The game has 2 sections Carnival and Games. In Games you can just select which games from the Carnival you want to play instead of going through the whole carnival....my daughter likes certain pattern games and it only gives you 3 patterns before returning to the menu. A trivial complaint but when you have problems with the remote it becomes annoying to maneuver back to where you were because your child still wants to play that same game. Overall a disappointment, but I guess nice to have a game for just our youngest to play since there are very few things that are just hers. Would have liked to pay a lot less for it...

My kids love this. I like that it is a learning game, but it also engages them physically. It's perfect for my 3 & 5 yr olds.

2.0 out of 5 stars Horrible Game February 3, 2011
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
I rented this for my 3 year old. This game is extremely painful to watch/play. The pace is incredibly slow and the game doesn't hold his attention. It doesn't even hold mine. The character's mouths do not match the speech. Once you enter a game, you can't go back to the menu if your child doesn't want to play the game. The controls are awkward. This game is rated Early Childhood, but one of the shapes the game quizzes on is a rhombus. I am so disappointed. :(

2.0 out of 5 stars Another Game Ruined By Wii April 2, 2014
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii|Verified Purchase
This game would be great if it were not for the Wii. The controls make it a difficult and frustrating experience for everyone. Even if your child knows the answer to the challenge, submitting their response will be nearly impossible. The Cookie Monster cover only makes this worse. The game does not have many challenges and you are only allowed 3 attempts per game. Additionally, there is no way to choose the level of difficulty. This was such a disappointment.

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay kids game November 16, 2013
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii|Verified Purchase
The graphics are not great, but the games are educational. The games are a bit slow sometimes and you can't get out of the game until you played all the way through.

2.0 out of 5 stars Be aware of your childs number skills before buying!
Too advanced for my 3 year old. He really can only do one of the carnival things. This game expects kids to already know how to count past 10, and recognize those numbers. Read more
