When my son (now 6) was teething, out of desperation, we put this video in and were amazed at the reaction -- totally mesmerized by the voices & songs. My daughter (8 months) has totally followed in her brother's footsteps and LOVES Elmo's Sing-Along Guessing Game. It's not just a cute video to keep her entertained. It has songs about numbers, best friends, getting along, and music that you can "dance" to. I highly recommend this video to anyone with infants on up. My son will still sit and watch it with my daughter & I find myself constantly singing along. What's better than entertainment & education?!

This is a totally fun video and my 2 yr old just loves it! Grant it, the video has no educational value, but it does provide lots of smiles for the both of us! Sometimes, it's ok to take a break from the learning and just enjoy yourself. This video is great for that kind of time!

He can't watch it enough!!! We sing the songs together even when we aren't watching and he has learned the parts of his face and he counts along with the number songs.

This is a great video that kept my 10 month old daughter (and me) amused and happy while she had to stay in the hospital for 3 days last month. It was a godsend. And after watching it myself for what seems like 101 times, I can honestly say that I still enjoy it. The songs are hysterical and I can't decide which is our favorite: "Get Along"-a 50's style doo-wop number led by Kermit or "La Baa-Baa"-a song led by the Count and lots of his sheep friends (that he counts at night to help him fall to sleep). Highly recommended.

My 10 month old son absolutely loves this DVD. He's been watching it since he was 4 months old and it still keeps his interest. Even my husband and I are not tired of it yet and we've seen it countless times. Elmo teaches kids the parts of their face, numbers, and about being friends! I highly recommend it!

I have not shown my daughter television until recently when I had a moment of weakness and rented this from the library. Overall it was highly entertaining, even for me. My daughter is two and we learned a few of the songs together, which I guess made it worth it (even though I regret showing her TV and have not rented any more videos). My complaint about it, which I noticed was a complaint another reviewer also had, is the way the characters talk to each other. The director character is especially rude and sarcastically calls the contestants "you geniuses" at one point. I don't think this is appropriate for an Elmo video! Still, the songs are adorable. We particularly enjoyed Kermit's song about elbows as well as Ernie and Elmo's song about the face.

My 23 month old is now settling into this one. I bought it becasue I figured there'd be a lot of ELMO for her and there is... BUT these are the early days of Elmo when he was very one dimensional--a bit unruly, shouting a lot like a spoiled child. Sesame St has really developed the Elmo character into a kinder, gentler, smarter 5 year old monster.
Anyway, vintage lovers of SS will appreciate my fave on the video: The Alligator King with his 7 sons. Great message: "Son you wear the crown; you didn't bring me diamonds or rubies, but you helped me up when I was down." Nonetheless, despite my grievances my daughter begs to differ and loves this video; it's grown on her and she even calls Snuffy "Eh-phant" when he shows up and tries to sing the songs, gets a word in sync here and there. This is where I think these DVDs are educational. The kids actually want to learn the lyrics. I much prefer "Sesame Sings Karaoke" becasue I love the adult interaction with the monsters and of course the celebs are funny too. Elmo's so much more developed as well. There are no real people on Sing Along Guessing Game by the way.

When my oldest son (now 7) was a baby, he loved Elmo, so we bought ALL the Elmo videos. If I had it to do over again, I would buy only two, maybe three - and THIS would be at the top of my list. This has the most entertaining transitions between songs, and the best songs - NOTHING tops 'I Love My Elbows,' although my kids' favorite is the Lamb-y dance. 'Get Along' is the catchiest tune since 'Rubber Ducky' and my kids howl everytime someone gets on that trampoline. This is WELL worth the price (and 'Let's Make Music' is, too). FYI, my 4-year-old loves it, too, and my 7-year-old, who is too cool for Sesame Street now, still laughs out loud when he 'happens' to see it while his brother is watching.

This video gets us singing and dancing. It's a sure bet for when I need time to get something done that NEEDS to get done. The funny thing is is that I know all the words to all the songs and when I'm alone I find myself singing these songs instead of my usually "adult" songs. I've watched this video way too many times to mention and still love the songs. Even my friends without kids who have heard me singing to my children comment on how cute the songs are. I highly reccommend this to anyone with even the smallest kids.
