Fun book but story does not fit with puppets,

I bought this book thinking it would be such fun for my 8 month old. It is a cute story but the puppets and story do not fit well together. I was expecting that the story would be written to incourage child or parent to interact with the story using the puppets. There are only two lines in the story sugesting to use the puppets. There are cut outs in the pages for you to use the puppets, however only one or two sentences say something to tie it together. Example: Hey bert, lets take a picture of you in space. The child would then maniputale the puppet to put it in the picture cut out of a space astronaut. My 8 month old it too young to really have fun with the book yet but she loves it when we play peak-a-boo through the holes usiong the puppets. Just don't expect the story to coinside with the story or encourage play. Better for creative story play.
