Works just fine,
This review is from: Sesame Street Folding Travel Potty Seat (Baby Product)
After purchasing the Dora soft potty seat and tossing it out for safety reasons, I bought this one for my kid and I love it. The bonus is that you can take it EVERYWHERE. Easy to clean, easy to put away. A good purchase.

I bought the potty seat for use on public bathrooms. It's very portable and my daughter loves her Elmo seat. It folds up nice and has a plastic bag for storage. She weighs 26 pounds and I have had no problems with it falling in or folding on her so I am not sure what the other lady is talking about. Great product.

My poor son fell in!!!,

My son can stand to pee when we are out (he's only 2.5 but he's tall) but he had to poop yesterday while we were out. So I ran to the car thinking that this seat that I had bought would "save the day" and his pants! I got back to him and my husband and quickly got him to the bathroom. I whip this out so happy that I had bought it, and I placed it on the toilet. My son was VERY excited about the characters! It looked like it fit good. So I pick up my son and placed him on it - it held him ok - he's 40lbs - it didn't give too much, or so I thought. My son squirmed a bit - what toddler doesn't, and he FELL IN THE TOILET! This seat and him hit the water! EW!!!! Another reader posted that she wouldn't return because it was a toilet item - well I'm marching right back to the store to return because I won't use it! It's poorly designed and a waste of money - it's going back!
If you already bought this - just keep it home - at least then if your child FALLS IN, you know what has been in your own toilet! Still YUK!

Great for potty training.,
This review is from: Sesame Street Folding Travel Potty Seat (Baby Product)
This product is wonderful for potty training outside of the house. I was always putting my daughter in pull-ups becuase I was afraid to sit her on a public toilet seat. Now she can use the potty anywhere. I take her wipes and some anitbacterial wipes and her potty seat everywhere with us and potty training has been so much easier now.

I order the Sesame Street Folding Potty for my 20moth old son. We had been potty traning for a few months, when he started to ask to go on the potty when we were out and about, I was so happy with this potty until we started to use it. It is not very strong my son does not feel safe on it( it gives alot) so when I sit him on it the middle of the set drops in not enof for him to fall in but becouse he is only 21 pounds not very big at all, I would think it would hold him. It does fold up nice and is easy to clean how ever I would have loved for it to have come with a carring bag.

not perfect - works for us,
This review is from: Sesame Street Folding Travel Potty Seat (Baby Product)
I was frustrated with this seat when I first started using it for my daughter. It took some getting used to lining up the seat so that the rubber grips would keep it from sliding. Once we figured that out, it's worked great and for a long time my daughter preferred it to her on the floor potty at home. I found that it works better a long narrow toilet seat which probably keeps it from giving as much as on a wider, rounder seat. Also, my daughter is only 25lbs. So for us, it works great for trips to the store.

I was looking for a portable potty seat to take with us on trips out of the house. I originally saw this seat at Toys R Us and purchased it. After using it a few times I feel in love with it. We decided to get another one to use at home. We don't want to use the same seat in our home that we use in public restrooms for obvious reasons. I went back to our Toys R Us, but they no longer carried the item. I started looking online and found it here on amazon. We have a potty chair for her here at home that has a seat that can be used on the regular toilet and we can't use it at home. Our toilets are elongated and it slides all over the place and scares both her and I. This seat doesn't move for us. With me being germ conscience and my husband a germ-o-phob the thought of potty training and public restrooms combined were the items nightmares were made of.
The five stars and the title tell how I love this item, but here are the reasons why. It folds up and fits into my medium sized purses and the small diaper bag with room to spare. It's easy to clean and sanitize and very simple to use. Our daughter loves Elmo and is getting to know some other Sesame Street characters and loves using this seat. At first we had to go over the characters every time we used it and she'd even try to point to the characters while she was using it. I also like how the seat has little flaps in the front that helps keep the potty in place. There are also cushions on the underside of the seat to keep it from sliding around while it's being used. The hinges actually snap in place and it's secure. I've never had the hinges give while trying to use it. The only time I have had it slide is when I did not have it properly secured on the front of the toilet. So that was my fault, not that of the seat. I'm surprised when reading other reviews for this item! My daughter is just over 2 years and weighs about 26 pounds. I have never noticed it bending, sliding or anything and I keep both eyes on her at all times in the bathroom. She has never had her bottom pinched nor has she EVER fallen into the toilet. I can't explain why my experience has been so different in comparison, but if I ever need a third seat I guess I'll have three of these. The only down side for me is that I wish it came with it's own little carrying case. I keep ours in a gallon sized ziplock bag and change the bag when I feel it necessary. Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing.

Works perfectly!,

2 yr old daughter loves it; has enjoyed "big potties" because of it. It doesn't slip if you put it on right, with the front edge of the regular toliet seat lining up with the front edge of the portable seat...lots of rubber underneath keeps it still, and it folds up backwards (design on the outside) so the weight of the kid won't cause it to collapse (my only fear...vanished!) Very lightweight, folds up to the size of a piece of paper, with thickness of a book. Keep the bag to use as a travel pouch and it fits in the smaller diaper bags!

The seat works but is not very sturdy,
By
This review is from: Sesame Street Folding Travel Potty Seat (Baby Product)
Our daughter uses this seat with a little hesitation. Our daughter is nowhere near the 40 pound limit and causes the seat to bend. I have no fear of it actually breaking but it is enough to scare her. The characters on it helped us convince her to use it. Once over her initial fears, we used the seat with success. We are currently exploring the idea of trying the heavier duty cushoned folding seats. This seat is ideal for limited use with restricted storage space.

Not worth the money,

This potty seat is great for portability, however my daughter won't use it. The hinges where it unfolds pinch her bottom. I didn't have a problem the few times she used it with it fitting on the toilet or anything like that though. I saw a similar folding potty seat in the One Step Ahead catalog - it's padded, so it says it won't pinch. That might be something to consider instead.
