Great Way to make that first pet fun to learn for kids!
I bought this tank on clearance at Petco also. I've never had a problem with it. I bought a seperate heater for it because our Seattle weather wouldn't keep the temp about 63 for the fish. The light does heat the water up quite quickly but easily fixed by either unplugging it or keeping it off. The filter that comes with it does the trick!

Fish fry
The tank is really cute, but it's way to hot and cooks the fish. My nephew had 3 fish that died within a couple of day.

I purchased this for my daughters room. The light blub burnt the plastic above it in addition to it heating up the tank. it is a fire hazard and you are better off buying a tetra one which will cost less too!

We bought this tank about 5 months ago for our 2 year old daughter. She chose 2 goldfish to live in it. The tank has been great so far. The fish seem happy and my daughter spends lots of time just sitting and staring at her fish. Great purchase.

We got this on clearance at Petco, now I see why it was on clearance!The filter heats up the tank so bad that no fish can survive in it. 5 fish have died (3 different attempts at this tank). We have a ten gallon and cared for this tank the same way, yet the sesame street tank kills fish! Don't waste your time on the cuteness of it. |
