My 2 year old LOVES this video. He jumps and dances along with Grover. He has been eating more fruit, and asking for milk and I think it teaches a great lesson. However- there is alot of falling, and jumping ON others. The cow falls on Grover alot, and jumps "into him" and sometimes on his head. While this is all cute and funny, my 2 year old, constantly jumps into and knocks over his little brother, who is 1. He's not trying to hurt him, but this is the end result none the less. Today he came across a stuffed animal of a cow, and then he was wacking his brother in the head with it, saying, "JUMPING COW, JUMPING COW!" I hate punishing him when he's just copying his FAVORITE video. It is a cute video, and I really like the lessons it teaches, but there are some unwanted side effects if you have multiple little ones.

I remember buying this video when the twins were too little to appreciate it and happened to pull it out again when they were 20 months old. Perfect age to get marching and jumping started. My boys started lifting their legs and moving with the kids. There is alittle Elmo, lots of Grover (who is hysterical) and some appearances by the jumping cow and cookie monster with singing glass of milk. DVD extras with Cookie monster require an older child to know how to use the "select" and arrows on the remote. Singing with India Erie (sp) is okay, and not sure I like the rap with Wyclef, but anything Cookie monster does is funny.

My kids are too young to understand the healthy food stuff right now but they will grow into that part alittle later.

Fun video, I like it better then the Wiggles because Sesame Street touches on more subjects.

My daughter likes the dvd, but you can get it at Wal-mart for less, only $9.

My 2yr old son loves this dvd. He really gets involved when they jump, hop, jog, and run. It also encourages healthy eating and explains how excercise is good for the body. Even though he doesn't understand the "lesson" this dvd is teaching, he really enjoys the physical activity.

Daughter (4 1/2) has been watching me work out to videotapes since she was a baby and wanted one of "her own". I bought this when she was 3 and she has adored it always. When I pull out one of my tapes, I need to put this on for her on another TV. Yes, it's "only" jumping moves like the other reviewer said, but this DVD also talks about healthy habits and healthy eating. She is still engaged with it all the way through, and when it's over she always asks me for a piece of fruit. I think it's a great way to introduce kids to fitness and reinforces the message of healthy eating that I as a parent always try to stress.

My two kids, age 4 and 3, watch this video over and over. It's really teaching them to get active and eat healthy. my little one is actually asking for healthy foods now! There's a lot of humor in there for the grownups watching as well (which makes repeat viewing enjoyable for me, too). My kids love to jump along with grover, and they really get a kick out of the slapstick. I'm so glad we got this video!

Happy Healthy Monsters is the DVD release of A Sesame Street show that was originally only on VHS. Grover and his pals teach children about the importance of healthy eating habits, getting plenty of rest, and exercising the body. The "Happy Healthy Monsters" television network is home to "Fuzzy, Blue and Healthy, Too", Grover's own fitness show. Watching the program alongside Elmo and Zoe, kids will learn that being healthy can also be fun. Special guests include Andy Richter, Wyclef Jean, India Arie, and Fred Willard.

It's a direct transfer from video. It's fun but at just a 45 minute run time for $12, a bit pricey.

My little girl LOVES Elmo! But this was as much an excercise/movement video as any Sesame Street episode. I was hoping for a video that demonstrated some movements that my daughter could mimic. The only movement was jumping. We watched Elmo watch Grover jump. We watched Grover learn how to jump. We watched a commercial about jumping. We watched someone sing a song about jumping....
... are you seeing a pattern? We did a lot of WATCHING. I wanted a little more DOING.

My daughter can do more than jump. Even though she is only 20 months old, she is capable of more. But she did enjoy WATCHING this DVD.

I regret the purchase, only because my son loves it so much lol. He like the moving around... there aren't alot of actual exercises, just alot of jumping. But it teaches about healthy eating. Although my son perfers fruit over junk anyday I dont really know if it helped. Warning... ALOT OF JUMPING LOL

My 2yr old LOVES THIS!! Taught him how to jump and dance around! Keeps his interest, unlike the other ones (Elmosize, dance along and gegt up and groove). He cannot get enough of Grover and Cookie Monster on this, lots of puppet action!! Which is WHY we watch these, LOL. Wish there was another just as good!
