Bought these for my son, for Christmas, he was so excited when he saw them. We are SO disappointed! As the other reviews state, they don't work more than 5-10 feet apart, you can barely hear anything if they even work at all, which is only occasionally. They will be returned in the next couple of days, after the "rush" lets up a little. These are a WASTE of money. If your child likes Elmo and Cookie don't do this to them. I wish I'd read these reviews before I bought them.

This product was horrible. I bought in on clearance so it was only $7 and I still hate it. It does not work! If you move more then 10 feet apart you can't hear the other person. Huge Disappointment.

This product doesn't work at all. Please don't buy it. I would be ashamed to put some like in the market, such a disapointment for the kids !!

We received these as a gift, and they are horrible. My daughter was so excited about them, but when we put batteries in we could barely hear anything, even at full volume! I was going to try to find them in a store to exchange for a new set, but after reading these reviews I can see that I wouldn't have any luck. If you are looking for a kids walkie talkie set definitely keep looking; these will just disappoint your child.

I bought the talkie walkie at Canadian Tire, which was on sale for 9 Dollars.
I put the batteries in and turned them on. Other than hearing the zzz... sound and occasionally loud interfering sound I could not hear any talks. I got to return it to the shop.

The only thing these are good for is making static noise. So if you love static, this is for you. Because that's all you'll ever hear. They simply don't work. You can't talk. You can't hear. Don't waste your time or money. It's a crime that someone is selling a product like this.

Absolutely agree with the one star reviews - a terrible toy. It does not work at all even though our 2 1/2 year old wishes it would. Can't believe the "Sesame Street" name is on such a horrible product. Do not waste your money on this piece of junk.

I bought these for my daughter for Christmas before reading the reviews and as I see this purchase was a big mistake. We haven't actually been able to use these as intended as one of the receivers isn't working. I was going to exchange them for a new pair but it looks like I will just be returning them.

My daughters got these for a gift. First in order for one of the walkie talkies to work you had to put a piece of cardboard to hold the battery tight. You can't hear what the other is saying in them. Returned them to the store. Don't waste your money.

We got these as a gift for our son and were very excited about them! Unfortunately, we discovered when we opened them up and tried them out that there is almost no sound when you talk to each other. Even at full volume, you have to strain to hear the other person. It does have a decent range, and we were able to use them in different rooms of the house with the doors closed (though we probably maxed out at about 20 feet). The one possible redeeming factor is a morse code feature, which you actually can hear quite well on the other end. Now to learn morse code...
