Cute looking book, and elmo is a favorite. But the moving parts get yanked and are easily torn off the book. Scotch tape wont fix it because of the way the parts move. Reading this book isn't much fun either as the writing is bland. Wouldn't recommend this one.

Getting my 2 year old to brush her teeth was a hug struggle. I bought this book out of desperation. And boy, did it work!!! She loves it. Every pop up page talks about a different stage of brushing (i.e., how to and how much tooth paste to put on a brush, actual brushing of teeth, cleaning tongue, rinsing the mouth, and final page shows the dentist's office) with a different Sesame St character. The brush included is a bit flimsy, but remember this is a $5 book. You can't expect them to include a plastic brush or something. Also, the flimsy brush still still does it's job. My daughter loves to brush the pop-up character's teeth with that it. It's a great book!

This is my second copy of the book. At 1 year my dd loved the book but tore many of the pieces off so it lost its appeal. Around 2 she went back to the book as she got into brushing her teeth more and read it every night even with parts missing so I just purchased a second copy. I recommend it for closer to age 2.

This was an unexpected plus as when I bought it, it was purchased under popup books and although there was no real pop up the tooth brush had the twin 11 month girls brushing and brushing. I now need to purchase a second one.

This book is a big hit with our just two year old daughter who fights toothbrushing. Unfortunately, as another review has noted, the book is a little delicate for the moving parts and pop ups. She just got it less than two weeks ago and it's already a little ripped (pop open mouths to brush or count teeth) and the toothbrush is crumpled. I'll try the suggestion to support the toothbrush with a popsicle stick.
It has helped a little with toothbrushing. She definitely enjoys brushing the monster's teeth, looking inside the mouths and talking about the concept. I think it will help her understand how to brush her teeth, but while we are still doing the majority of the brushing, it remains a power struggle. I guess we'll see if it makes the battle of the toothbrush any easier over time.

Got this book yesterday & already Zoe's arm was torn off by my daughter.
This book is catered to toddlers for a guide to make teeth brushing fun.
The pros & cons don't outweigh one another, & that's why I rated this book 3 stars.

Pros:
- Cute & colorful
- Tons of Sesame Street characters
- Interactive
- Great learning tool

Cons:
- Paper easily tears
- Chemicals: Polyurethane Foam & Flame Retardants
- Tad bit overpriced: buy the book used ... you'll accomplish the same goal
- Colors lighten when water gets on book

IMHO the book should have been made with a heavier card stock.

My 23 month old has loved this book for months. I bought it because he stopped letting us brush his teeth. As soon as we started reading it to him, he not only allowed us to brush his teeth, but seems to very much enjoy it now. I even recite some of the pages as we brush. The only problem is that it's a pop up book with a removable cardstock toothbrush. Some of the pop-ups have ripped and the toothbrush crumpled fairly quickly, but we made repairs with tape and a popsicle stick (for the toothbrush) and it should last us for quite some time.

I got this book to encourage my daughter to associate fun with brushing her teeth since it is still a struggle to get her to willingly want to brush them right now. She liked the book but on the first read she tore one of the pop up parts
(the one where you use the pop up tab to assist Zoe with brushing her tongue). She went over the book a couple of times on the day we received it and then lost interest. Maybe this is better for introducing your children to the concept of brushing rather than having them be more than a year into the process and introduce what may seem baby-ish to them at that point.
