For a kiddie camera, it's not too bad,

There are many of these kiddie digital cameras on the market and none of them are rated very well. The reality is that they don't even come close to adult digital cameras, so you can't use the adult cameras as a benchmark.
For what this is and what it does, it does a pretty decent job. Our nearly three year old daughter likes taking pictures of her toys, her friends and of us. (And on occasion, the floor, the cabinets and the ceiling!) The pictures come out fair, but again, this is not an adult camera. The point is that gets to have her own camera and gets to see her pictures right away. She's dropped it a bunch of times and it takes the abuse. I'd definitely recommend it, but just bear in mind that it doesn't come close to an adult digital camera.

The camera looks cool for a 3yr old. Until he/and I tried to take photo. The prolonged wait for the shutter makes it useless for anything active. My youngest could crwal out of the frame before the photo was taken. This camera also does NOT take a drop well as on its first drop I got an E50 error. At $49.99, you can get more for your money. The 4 "AA" batteries, are actually "AAA", important if you are buying rechargeables in advance. The SD disk worked well.

Received as a gift for Christmas for my son. After installing batteries and a 2 gig memory card we tried to use it. LCD display only showed a dark shadowy image that couldn't be made out. I figured that maybe the display wasn't working quite right so after taking many pictures I plugged it into the computer and downloaded the pictures. I had about 60 pictures of dark shadows with very faint lights. Not only did pictures not come out at all, but the operation of the camera seemed so difficult I couldn't figure out how to use the different functions or even scroll through pictures I had taken. There is a long delay from when you push the shutter button and when the camera takes a picture. Unfortunately my mother purchased this camera around September long before Christmas and can't be returned since Amazon doesn't take returns from that far back. I saw a much nicer camera from a well know toy maker for about the same price and I think that one would have been a better purchase. It's too bad this thoughtful gift is just going to be a toy that doesn't actually do anything. Stick to a real toy company that makes good quality stuff.

Our twin daughters received two of these cameras for Christmas when they were 2 1/2 years old. I wish my MIL had saved her money. I've never seen such a shoddy product. There is a very long shutter delay. The display is awful. The buttons are indecipherable. And it eats up batteries like you wouldn't believe. There is absolutely no way anyone can take a decent picture with this piece of cr@p, be they adult or child. I wish I could give this zero stars.

You can find much better toys for the money. There is a long delay to turn the camera on and off and to take a picture, and the pictures are all dark and VERY blurry. There is also a big lag as you point the camera in a new direction, which makes my kids sometimes wonder why they can't see what they are pointing the camera at. The buttons are not intuitive and I, an adult, had to carefully read the directions to understand how to review, delete, or move through the images. It's been many months since we tried to download images to the computer, but my memory is that that was difficult too. It's comfortable to hold and my kids enjoy it, but are frustrated by it and quickly stop playing with it. Don't bother with this toy.

Mi son got this camera as a birthady present when he was 4. It was ok, but got broken in two weeks. We were able to fixed it. Now my son is almost 6 year old and he complain because the resolution is too bad, he says "THIS CAMERA TAKES HORRIBLE PICTURES" and get frustrated.

This toy broke for absolutely no reason, just stopped working. When it did work, it was awful. It took too long to take a picture and the display was horrible. Don't buy it.

I am glad I got this for $[...] after Christmas last year. It takes so long to take a picture and the buttons are way too confusing for adults, never mind a child. Also it needs high light and nothing can be moving or the picure turnes out even more fuzzy. Do not waste your money on this product.

picture quality isn't very good, but i wasn't expecting it to be. the kids had a lot of fun with it the first week, but lost interest very quickly. it was in the possession of 3 small boys, so it HAD to be durable, but i questioned it's durability every time it was dropped...it didn't sound too good! all in all, the camera has held up well, so i guess i got what i paid for.

OK, it worked for 1 day and made blurry pictures. My 3 year-old loved it. But even if I held it you couldn't tell what the pictures were.
Now it's dead. The manufacturer wants a certified check for [...] return shipping for the warranty return. Unfortunately I bought it at a local going out of business store for cash, so I can't send it back there either. |
