For kiddos learning to read, vintage Sesame Street can't be beat. Our kid knows his letters, sounds, and numbers, but now that he's started to watch Sesame Street, he is really "getting" the concepts of letters making sounds...which make words!
While I greatly enjoy and appreciate that Amazon not only offers a number of Sesame Street seasons as "on demand" (and even better, as part of the Prime catalog), I'm a bit mystified as to why all of the seasons only offer 12 of the 24-26 shows that comprised each of the actual seasons? Does PBS not want to give up the whole catalog? Or is there some other reason. Can you imagine if only half of a season of any other "series" show were available? That's my only reason for not going 5 stars. It's Sesame Street. You know what you're getting and while the content may be different from what it was in our own childhoods, it's still of quality and better than the vast majority of things out there when it comes to options for our kids to watch. I just wish that Amazon could provide the same number of seasons (or heck, even more - I'd love it they added new ones) but double the amount of episodes...
My son is extremely active and Sesame Street is just the right combination of music, education, and fun to keep him occupied! He definitely has his favorite characters and, whenever the Elmo's World theme music CMOS on, he runs from whatever room he's in to watch all of Elmo! Thank you, CTW, for another outstanding season!
Sure, it's super easy with prime instant videos! All you do is choose a show and you are on your way to enjoying a classic children's show with your child! I remember watching this show as a kid and now I turn it on for my own kids. My son absolutely LOVES Elmo, but then who doesn't love Elmo? This show will capture your little ones attention while teaching them letters of the alphabet and counting too, all with furry lovable characters like Grover, Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch, and many more. We have many Sesame Street and Elmo books and the kids love watching their favorite characters come to life on the television. I'd recommend this show, for any toddlers or pre-schoolers.
