Customer Reviews

The pee guard in the front is awful for boys, obviously.

The is soft potty chair works well and my daughter loves the Sesame Street Characters.

We have a regular toilet seat (not elongated) and this doesn't fit at all.

Color Name: SpongeBob Sailing
My three year old son started training a year ago, on a stand alone potty.

The thing was good for when he was little, and a potty novice, but now its more trouble than its worth. We purchased this seat when he was 2 1/2 (SpongeBob, he LOVES Spongebob!)

PROS

- Its not overly expensive

- Comfortable to sit on for any ellapsed amount of time

- Has SpongeBob on it, this could be a disstraction, but it makes my son want to go more!

- Easy for a toddler to remove his/herself, and trust me this is a BIG deal to them! (with a stand alone they want to dump the contents, which never fails to leave a mess!)

- The splash gaurd is rather flimsy, so I attached a piece of velcro to the side that would touch the potty, and another to the part of the potty where the guard attaches. It is still removable, but not flimsy. Its also high enough to catch everything

- Its lightweight, easy for me or my son to carry.

- Easy to store, right on the side of the potty, and also easy for him to put on himself!

- Fits my oddly shaped toilet seats well.

CONS

- The seat is cushy and comfortable, but ours recently tore, and the rips hurt and annoy him, so I am now purchasing another from Amazon as I cannot find the SpongeBob one in stores.

- Its hard to find, I could only find Elmo (he LOVES elmo, but he thinks SpongeBob is a big boy show, and Elmos a baby show, he wants to be a big boy on the potty)

- The vinyl sticks to his bottom, and sometimes he wont get off because hes afraid of the sting when he gets up.

All in all I wish we would have used the SpongeBob seat from the start!

I bought this potty seat for my daughter and I took into consideration that this was supposed to fit regular and elongated toilets. The second I put my daughter on it she nearly fell into the toilet! The seat is not very stable and as far as being able to go on most toilets, that is a lie. My toilet seat is as regular as they come and it still falls through. A waste of money and a safety hazard!

Color Name: Dora Butterfly Buddies
We are just starting to potty train our 2 year old daughter. We bought 2 of these from the store (Babies R Us)...the Dora design and the Sesame Street design. The only good thing is that my 2 year old loves the designs and she likes the handles. And it's lightweight and easy for her to put it on the toilet herself. However the splash guard in the front is ABSOLUTELY USELESS!!! The splash guard hurts her thighs if she's sitting normal on the seat. She would have to practically do the splits so that her thighs aren't pressing against it. And the WORST part is...every time my daughter pees, it gets EVERYWHERE! It goes right over the splash guard, then leaks down in between the foam padding and the plastic base...as well as all over her legs, the toilet, and the bathroom floor (and sometimes me!). The sad thing is that my daughter now anticipates that it will splash...so she uses her little hands to cover the top of the splash guard...and then ends up with pee all over her hands!!!

I think it's because the shape and size of the opening of the seat is so small, it doesn't allow for the child to sink down into the opening a bit to lower themselves so that pee goes into the toilet and not over the top of the rim. And my daughter is not chubby, she's a slender 2 year old. So now each time she goes to the bathroom, I end up hosing her down in the tub, taking the potty seat apart (removing the foam from the plastic base to wipe and sanitize it), and then having to disinfect the bathroom floor and the toilet itself. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!

My son wanted a Thomas potty and this was a good choice for him. He loves the trains on the seat. However, the hole is not big enough. We have a difficult time getting my son positioned on the potty so that he can go without getting urine on the seat. And the cusion is not easy to keep clean because urine gets trapped underneath it and in the sides.

I have the Diego and the Disney cars seat for my twin boys and would not recommend the diego toilet seat for boys as the cover that makes sure the penis goes into the toilet is not big enough cover. I like the cushion and handles though. I would rather recommend the Disney car toilet seat with a larger potty cover for peepee.

I chose this seat because the package states that it works for both standard and elongated toilets, but it definitely does not work for the elongated toilet seats. It slips around a lot and has dumped my child into the toilet on more than one occasion--and we've only had the seat for 1 day. We'll be a long time getting past those scares.
It also seems generally flimsy and easily bent. The ring underneath is screwed on and there are lots of ridges and gaps, so I predict it will be hard to keep clean. Very disappointing. If I can return this thing, I will. Don't waste your money.

OK so I purchased this for my son because he is madly in love with Thomas and friends. He was so excited when he saw he could use Thomas to help him go potty. Thats one plus to this potty ring your child will be excited to use it, the other is thats its soft. It stops there though... It moves around way to much my son fell in. The pee guard is completely worthless. So if you looking for a potty ring this isn't the one to by click back on your browser button and keep searching.
