This toy is NOT a CD player - it just plays a few canned Sesame Street songs. I was very disappointed with this item. It is misleading to refer to it as a CD player because it is not. Even if you're looking for something that just plays a few pre-recorded jingles, you can find that for far less than $32.99.

my 17 mo. old daughter received this as a gift and enjoys hitting the buttons and swaying to the music. however, mom & dad have serious issues with this toy. 1. no volume control - it is VERY loud. we can hear it throughout the house. we stuck a piece of packing tape over the speaker in the back which seems to help a bit. 2. screeching not songs - there doesn't appear to be any songs to sing-along with. Its all a lot of hard to understand screeching. 3. Educational value - absolutely none.

I just happened to stumble across this when browsing for something else. I am not sure how much this cost when I got it, as it was a gift, but this is SO not worth the $32 that it is listed for here. It plays like 5 pieces of songs and the cd's are just plastic and not even needed for the music to play. It is super loud and super annoying. My kids do enjoy it, but it is still not worth the money. If you can find it for about $5-$10, then that would be more reasonable.

I also knew this was a toy (not an actual cd player) when I bought it. The plastic "cd" can be inserted/ removed and spins, but serves no actual function. The toy does have 12 short songs in four different music styles that my toddler really seems to like.

now I am not going to disagree with the fact that this should be labeled differently, but I knew it was a toy when I bought it. I also paid much less than it is currently listed. But the one we got does not screech like another review stated. My daughter who is 20 mths, absolutely loves it and carries it around the house and loves that each button has a different song, there's cookie monster and the others each with their own song in a different style, like one is a country sounding song. The "cd" that comes with it is just a plastic disc and does nothing, I'm sure it will go missing some day soon as she likes to remove it and try to fit it back into place. Overall my daughter loves it and to me that makes it a success.
