The stools arrived yesterday and putting them together was a "snap", literally. Although they were undamaged, the packing materials themselves were a pain to handle, small white broken-off styra-foam particles electostatically charged everywhere and sticking to everything. Now, to the stools themselves. They are lighter but look like the more expensive, heavier stools that I've seen locally. Their lightness is not really a disadvantage as they seem easy to move, yet stand stable when sitiing on them. What is ununusual is that they slightly drop when sitting on them, then rebound slightly up when you get off of them. I guess this is "normal" for them because, as of yet, this is not problematic. They are fairly comfortable to sit in for bar height laptop computer work, which I am utilizing them for, and for the price, are reasonable. Time will tell how well they hold up, especially the pneumatic height adjustment. It is also noteworthy that they arrived very quickly, within four days of my placing the order. Overall, although not perfect, this item is not bad.

I bought a set of brand new black barstools for my new home about 6 months ago. They were really cheap and I needed somthing fast. They lasted no more than a month! I only have one left that is decent looking. If you buy cheap, you will get cheap.

I thought I would write to let people know that these stools are nice...but, they spin around really easily. I got them for my 9 year old son to play keyboard and he keeps swiviling away from the instrument and he cannot reach the ground. It would be fine if they turned when he wanted them to swing around but in this case, it's a problem that they do not stay facing forward. On the upside, they were a cinch to assemble...literally 15 seconds for both. They look sharp too.

These stool are nice as a decorative piece but when it comes to using them on a day to day basis don't bother. I'll put it this way i have probably bought 20 of these bar-stools for a bar that seats 6 because so many of them have broken.

Bought a set and finally got them today. Not the most comfortable to sit on it you are 5'11 but decent looking for the price. One of the stools got in with a missing height adjustment lever..

I bought 6 of these stools for a smoothie bar. They look nice, and we received several compliments. However, I had a customer come in that weighed about 250lbs. The seat cracked right when he sat on it. Another time the pole literally came through the middle! Liability!!! I should have listened to you get what you pay for.

My husband tried to put this chair together but it looked like the part were not matching and the black part was not sitting properly on the base and the handle didnt work so chair was not going up and down. When we called thay said that they are aware of this problem but its because people cant put those chair together the right way. Anyway we tried and we just couldnt figure it out so we returned the chair. SO bad experience with the chair but great experience with return - fast. So I would order from amazon or Lexington furniture in the future just because I know that it wouldnt be a problem to return it later in case something would go wrong. :-)
