These straws are ALMOST perfect. I love them from a functional standpoint - they hold up well, wash up beautifully (w/o falling through the holes in my dishwasher's utensil basket), and end the money and trash out w/ disposable straws.

BUT . . . they contain BPA (I contacted Zak, the manufacturer, and they confirmed it). It's just not worth risking my children's health over. I'll consider stainless steel, but I'm not sure they'll like the feel/cold of those.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these straws - I am a strawaholic and you can reuse these - just stick them in the dishwasher - YEAH!

I've had these straws a short time now and they're great. Solid and dishwasher safe, they do the job perfectly and without throwing out straws. The only drawback is that they're small enough to slip through the utensil basket in the dishwasher and drop down to the heat element. You need a mesh to put under them or something to pin them into place.

I bought some acrylic straws one time at Wal-Mart thinking it would probably be a waste - I was planning on using them instead of regular straws and in the back of my mind I thought they would eventually sit at the back of the drawer. Boy was I wrong... turns out - these acrylic straws work very well in long drinking cups and also are simply fantastic for smoothies!! Not to mention they are colorful and cheery. I purchased two more packs to make sure I have plenty of these on hand. They also go over very good at parties with frozen adult drinks! Cheers!

LOVE THEM for many reasons!! BUT......bummed that they contain BPA. If I would have know than before I, I would not have bought them! :o(

There just what I wanted. Hard to find, may get lucky once in a while to locate some but these are cute and colorful.

If you don't have a set or two of these hard permanent straws you should. Great for stirring your drink and never leaks. I was given a set 6 years ago and watched them slowly dwindle to just a few. I have looked in the stores and online with every major department store, including home ware specialty stores. This is the only place I have been able to find them. I also received them in a timely fashion from the vendor. Worth a few bucks!

I purchased an off brand acrylic straws at Walmart almost 2 years ago and when my son broke the last one I couldn't locate any to replace them. I found these on Amazon and they are fantastic!! Exactly what I was looking for!! Thank God for Amazon!!

....but alas they were not! These are super cute & durable straws, but I thought they would be just a bit longer than they were. I have some tall 24 oz nalgene bottles and I bought these specifically because I thought they'd be a bit longer to use with these. But sadly, they are a bit too short! I wish they made these just few inches taller. These straws measure about 8 4/5" tall and I need a straw that's about 10 inches long to fit these tall bottles. Oh well, they're still cute!

I've found that our family drinks more water when we use straws so I've invested in these a few times. (Things just get lost over the years.) These are durable, cute and perfectly functional. The only hesitation I had was cleaning. I didn't want to have to buy a special brush to get to the insides, so I've been just using pipe cleaners and they work great.
