Set of 3 Flameless Scented Wax Candles Vanilla - 6" by 3" with Built in Timer

I found these once when I was shopping at Costco. They were made by the same company, but I could not find them at Costco anymore. I guess they only come out for the holidays at Costco. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the light doesn't cover the whole candle and they are more skinny than Costco ones.

Costco now has these about a month later after I bought these...oh well. I'm still happy with this purchase as I can never have too many of these. Now at Costco, they have a remote control version that has 9 candles(different sizes), but do not have the timer. The timer is helpful for those who can't remember to shut them off or like to have them on when they go to sleep.

These are attractive candles, made of wax and smell really good.

However, they have the oddest flicker to them. They will glow "normally" like other flameless candles, but then they get this staccato flicker, like it's trying to send an SOS. (BTW, when it glows "normally", it is an awesome set of candles for the price... but alas, it doesn't do this all the time.)

I don't know if it's trying to emulate "wind" or something, but it really detracts from the candle. But, for $20, it would cost me more in time and shipping to send them back.

So, use them in a room that you don't visit often or towards the back of a shelf, where you can benefit from it without the odd flicker being too distracting.

We have found great use for these candles...we use them for our church...they are super easy to use, good for the environment, safe and they look like real candles...they look and seem so real, that I've seen people try to blow them out or new people go into the room the following week with a lighter and try to light them.
