Acappella is an excellent starting point for anyone looking to explore contemporary Christian vocal groups. Less jazzy than Take 6 and more lean and clean than the heavily multitracked Glad, Acappella provides a solid groove and tight harmonies that are fresh and exciting yet not overtly aimed at Top 40 radio. One of the tracks on Set Me Free, "More Precious Than Gold," was even used in a national television commercial for Kodak. That track, based on Psalm 19, was written by Keith Lancaster, as was the bulk of the album. The four singers on this 1993 album, Duane Adams, Wayburn Dean, Gary Moyers, and George Pendergrass, are supplemented by a gospel choir on the title track. "Stand on the Rock" will get your fingers snapping and "Lead Me to Rest" will transport you straight to heaven. --David Horiuchi

I really enjoyed this CD. It always seems to lift my spirits whenever I'm feeling down, and it keeps me happy, mainly because of its mix of mellow and "happy" songs. I highly recommend this CD and all others by Acappella to those who appreciate and love acappella music!

My husband I listen to this album all the time. It always lift us up everytime. My husband can listen to this album for hours, playing it over and over again. It creates in him a peaceful and uplifting feeling.It has the same effect on me, too! We really love this album. ONE OF THE GREATEST IN ALL HISTORY!!!! They should make more of these type of music! To the group....GOD BLESS!

I have never order anything on Amazon. Heard lot of good things about it but just was not sure if I should or not. So, I though would try it on purchasing these CD. Needless to say I was a bit surprised on how easy it was to find the CDs and then to purchase them. We all enjoy getting little things in the mail, but I was really surprise how fast the product came in the mail. Thanks Amazon ! I sure will use Amazon.com again !
