Great purchase!!
I bought this clock for my 83 yr old mother for Christmas and she loves it!! For that matter, so do I. It is reminiscent of a mantle clock that my mother had given my grandparents 50 years ago. That clock was no longer working and unrepairable and I wanted to do something special. This is a beautiful perfect replacement and I am so glad I found it!!

The clock pictured isnt the clock you get
I purchased this clock. However the clock that was delivered did not have a volume control nor did it have an automatic nighttime shut off on the chimes. Talked with Seth Thomas and was advised that the version of the clock they now import does not have these features. Talked with Amazon and they advised that I could return the clock. It is a nice clock but you are not...

Pretty enough, but I returned this item.This model clock did not include chime volume control and automatic nighttime shutoff as mentioned in the product description. Without those features, it's terribly overpriced.

Doesnt chime the hours and sounds to digital. It looks real though.

I bought this for my mother-in-law. It sits on her mantle and she is very happy with it. It is very beautiful. I don't know about the nighttime shutoff as it is not of importance to me nor is it mentioned in the description. I just wanted an impressive mantle clock and this fills the bill. It is of high quality as I would expect from Seth Thomas. A great gift for someone special.
