Beautiful craftsmanship and styling make the Seth Thomas Sturbridge clock a wonderful home accent. Constructed from American hardwoods with a light walnut finish, the casing is both substantial and lovely. It features a bonnet-top design, delicate trim, and hinged front door fitted with glass and gold-tone hardware. The interior is its most striking feature--a brass-tone metal backdrop joins an elegant dial with elaborate, raised sculptural faces and scrollwork. The dial has Roman numerals on the interior and smaller, ornate Arabic numerals on the exterior. At the apex of the piece’s design is the simple image of a globe crossed by a banner that reads "Tempus Fugit" --Latin for "time flies." Deep in dimension and impressive in presence, the clock includes a 4/4 Westminster-Whittington chime with adjustable volume control and optional nighttime shut-off. Measuring 14-3/8 by 11-7/8 by 5-1/8 inches, it runs on one C battery (not included), and has a one-year warranty. --Emily Bedard
