Setting the Turkeys Free is Fun, Believable, and Imaginable,
By J. Adams (Kingsburg, California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Setting the Turkeys Free (Hardcover)
My grandchildren loved this book. (Ages 3 and 1 1/2) After visiting a farm with a noisy turkey, and watching Dora the Explorer (fox character in the children's show) they connected with this book's story. We went one step further and I supplied all the crafts to make their own "Setting the Turkey Free" painting. For Thanksgiving their mom is going to display their painting and book. I painted the background on a large artist's canvas. The children painted their hands and made a variety of turkeys. The feathers, Popsicle sticks, and other goodies will be added as the painting is assembled. Happy Thanksgiving!

The book is a very good read for all young children. The pictures are beautiful, and my children love it. But the condition of the hard cover book made me mad. I would have returned it but was going to a book signing that day and needed it for that reason. The protective cover was completely ripped and the book itself had a huge scratch on the front cover as if someone used a razor blade on it.
