From Library Journal
In a concise and focused manner, Stankus presents advice on setting up a woodworking shop. In individual chapters grouped according to broad categories, he proposes various projects, always with an eye toward economy and environmental concern. Some tool types are described in greater depth than others, but the profuse illustrations help to prevent confusion. The appendixes, which explain many fundamental concepts governing wood and its uses, will be particularly useful to new or relatively inexperienced woodworkers. Where electricity intersects with shop setup and tool usage, essential issues are discussed. The index is sparse and lacks cross-references, but is otherwise functional. This is an exciting and useful volume for beginning and intermediate woodworkers. Recommended for woodworking collections.
