5.0 out of 5 stars In Twenty Years, We Will Still Be Dancing to "Settle" August 22, 2013
By K.I.B.
Format:MP3 Music
Perhaps in twenty years I will have an 18-year-old son or daughter and they will ask, "Dad, can I go to a party?" and, not wanting to keep my child from experiences that I was able to have safely, I'll say, "Yes, but be home by 12:30". When 12:31 rolls around and my offspring has not returned, I will have to go to that party and embarrass him or her.

I pull up to the party house and hear an incredible thumping 4/4 beat muffled behind the front door as the bloodshot eyes of stoned teenagers follow me up the walkway. Upon opening the door the music escapes and, though concerned about my kid, I can't help but crack a smile as I hear the line, "...iiifff there are boun-da-ries, I will try to knock them do-ow-own...". I remember grinding to that one back in the day.

I grab a young man by his retro-cool Kanye West vintage t-shirt, "Have you seen my kid?". "B-b-b-b", he tries to spit out an answer, useless. I shove him out onto the dance floor just as the shuffled playlist starts to blare out "Stimulation". Damn, I love this track, I want to be on that dancefloor too! Age of consent be damned!

In the backyard I saunter through a field of discarded beer cans as the sexualizing cadence of "F For You" is in full swing. Under my breath I sing, "I've been infected with restless whispers and sheets...", as I scan for my lost teenager.

Back in the house I'm in the back bedroom where young men and women are expelling copious amounts of now-legal marijuana from their lungs. "Has anybody seen-" before I can finish I am cut off by a dude with a pierced skull, "Close the door old man." I get right up in the teen's face, "Old man!?!?! You hear that song playing, 'Defeated No More'? I used to grind up on my wife to that song, I know whats up!

5.0 out of 5 stars If you like Dance Music this is for you June 11, 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Amazing album in which you can hear influences from artists like Burial and includes awesome guess appearances such as Jessie Ware.

The band is comprised of two brothers which isn't new but this is a debut from a twenty-one and an 18 year old. Can't wait to see what the future holds for these kids

5.0 out of 5 stars Whoa... June 13, 2013
Format:MP3 Music|Verified Purchase
Easily one my favorite releases this year.
It's one of the few dance 'albums' that holds up as a singular work of art. There's enough variety to hold your attention and the production is warm and sparkly. Reminds me a bit of Rae & Christian's sublime "Northern Sulphuric Soul" from a few years back. I can't wait to see what these guys do next.

This music works with sunshine or gray overcast. These fun little dance gems will keep your head bobbing to the beat in your car or at work, and your feet won't be able to stop on the dance floor. This record is filled with great collaborators like Sam Smith, Jessie Ware and Edward Macfarlane. Enjoy.

5.0 out of 5 stars i love it!
the only cons is that the titles of the song won't appear in my list when played. It only shows "track_1" and so on. which is frustrating. =| over all, the music is good!
