For those who thought Seurat only painted in dots...,

What an enlightening book for this naive art history major! It is a wonderful balance of image and readable text; the author isn't as full of themselves as most art historians tend to appear through their writing. I truly appreciated the inclusion of Seurat's drawings along side his popular paintings. His drawing ability is absolutely incredible and a complete 360 from his paintings and a must see for those who think Impressionists are inferior artists because they don't paint "realistically". The artistic reproductions are superior, and the book is very well designed. Give it a try, this is a nice one to have in your art collection.
