This book contains only a few pages of text and is heavily cut down from the original. Also the "squirt" tube on the back page is too big in diameter to squirt water out for more than a split second.

This is the greatest bath book ever! My son got it for Christmas when he was 7 months old. He is 2.5 years old now and it's still one of his favorite tub items... now he knows the story almost by heart... and he 'reads' it to me during the bath time... "Squirt" is a nice touch, granted it doesn't hold a lot of water but it's enough to make your little one giggle. I'm getting one for my new nice this Christmas :)

The seller shipped the item immediately, and it was in the condition as described. It is a cute little book, but I only gave it two stars because there is really nothing special about it, and it is definitely not worth the $80 that we paid for it. However, it was given as a gift to a friend who collects Dr. Seuss books, and she said she is glad that she received it as a gift because she never would have paid that much for it either.

This out-of-print book is perfect for bath-time; made out of waterproof plastic, the pages are thick and almost indestructible. However, the book is quite short with only a couple of words per page. And the text does not rhyme; which is unfortunate for a book for babies. The final page has a built-in squirt that can suck in water and squirt it out. This is nice for surprising your baby. All-in-all, an OK book for bath-time, though there are a lot of better ones.

My son loves this book. He received it when he was 10 months old. He pages thru it in the tub. The spout at the end, as others have said, is quite undramatic, but to be honest, it's just fine. It squirts out quite high. Others have said it's too short, but I disagree. For a tub book, it's the perfect amount of pages. You don't want your child to just sit there in the tub reading all night anyway, right? And he's young enough to page thru it over and over again. It floats as a tub book should, and the colors are nice and bright. The words are silly. It's just perfect and worth the price.

This is the only bath book I've seen that incorporates a squirt toy. I enjoy it more than my 13 month old, but he does like flipping through the pages.

My daughter (16 months) would probably give this book five stars, but I find it boring other than being able to squirt water out the whale's spout at the end. I much prefer Sandra Boynton's "Bath Time" with the honking nose at the end, it's more fun to read aloud. I think my daughter prefers the vivid color of this one. Great for the whole bath collection and for variety, but if you only have room for one, I'd say get "Bath Time" first for your own sanity.
