Solid rock n roll album that doesn't belong in any genre,

I'm a fan of X and love Exene's vocals so I thought I would give this a try. This has become my new favorite album. It combines the old school punk stylings of X, with rockabilly/country and even surfy guitar riffs peppered throughout. You can't really classify this album into one genre, which is why I love it so much. My favorite tracks are Last Dance and Down Where It's Down. The more I listen to it, the more I love it.

Exene covering Gun Club? Doesn't get any better,

This review is from: Sev7en (Audio CD)
I liked Exene's Original Sinners debut, but I like this even better - this mixes traces of X's past with roots, rockabilly, and straight-ahead rock n roll for a potent brew. And her cover of Gun Club's GHOST ON THE HIGHWAY is worth the price of admission. No matter what Exene sings, it still sounds like X...but in a real good way.
