This review is from: Seven Bridges Road (LP Version) (MP3 Download)
Since the first time I heard this song, back in 1973 or so, it has stayed with me as the quintessential example of stellar vocal harmonies for Country/Pop music.

Ian Matthews, fresh off Matthew's Southern Comfort fame, puts out this amazing offering as an example that he was not a fluke, but a bona fide song writer and performer.

Everything about this song evokes the imagery of a time and a place, of love and longing. Nearly a perfect song if ever there was.

The Eagles covered this tune, too. But their version lacks some of the immediacy of the original. But, some will find their version better. It ain't. Sorry folks. Most times the original really is the best.

The MP3 I have is a little lacking, containing just a bit of distortion. But if you cannot find the reissue CD (which I finally did at a reasonable price), then this will give you a decent rendition of the song.
