My favorite cd I've purchased this year!!!, July 25, 1998

This review is from: Seven Bridges (Audio CD)
I purchase on average 1 cd per week. I listen to all kinds of music and have a very large collection. I've never taken the time to write a review but I am now because I want as many people to know about this remarkable cd as possible. I originally bought it because I liked the cover. Where did this guy come from? This incredibly well produced cd has some of the most beautiful melodies and engaging rhythms you'll find and the performances of Tim Timmermans and his sidemen which include Jeff Beal, Mike Acosta, Bill Cantos, Randy Tico, Andrew York and more are exceptional. I wish I lived in L.A. so I could hear them play live. Brazilian grooves, hip-hop grooves, swing grooves, latin grooves and melodies that can light up a smile or bring tears to your eyes. There's not a bad track on this record. If can only get one cd today get this one. You will not regret it.

Breathtaking and Beautiful!!, September 14, 1998

This review is from: Seven Bridges (Audio CD)
Wow! Great CD. Beautiful meoldies, sensual rhythms and great soloists. It's well produced and the arrangements full of surprises. The liner notes by Tim Timmermans speak of bridging gaps between people and cultures from all over the world as well as time and space. If you like melodic music that cooks, check out "Seven Bridges". P.S. I also have his "life as we know it" cd which is also a great cd withmore of a world music vibe to it as opposed to the jazz based "Seven Bridges"
