Book Description

Silhouette Intimate Moments April 1, 2003
ON DANGEROUS GROUND...

Dark, Predatory, Gorgeous. Those thoughts and more went through Abbie Locke's mind the first time she laid eyes on Delta Force Sergeant Flynn O'Toole. She'd mistakenly picked up a ransom, and now it was up to the courageous Eagle Squadron soldier to protect Abbie from terrorists.

Though passion coursed through his veins, the commitment-phobic commando shielded his heart. But when Abbie fell into enemy hands Flynn suddenly saw his future without her -- bleak, empty, devoid of her beautiful smile. Now that she was in the line of fire, he would do anything to save her life -- including risking his own!

This is #2 in Eagle Squadron Series.

Silhouette Intimate Moments #1216, April, 2003.

This review is from: Seven Days to Forever : Eagle Squadron (Silhouette Intimate Moments No. 1216) (Mass Market Paperback)
Here is the story of Sergeant First Class Flynn O'Toole of Eagle Squadron, Delta Force and his desperate [grin] attempt to stay single.

The Squad is in place to track the LLA, terrorists who are demanding ransom for Mateo Vilyas, the seven year old son of the Ladavian diplomat. And grandnephew of the Ladavian King.

Well, wouldn't you know, a teacher, Abbie Locke had taken her class to the Museum where the drop was to occur. Yup, she mistakenly picks up the backpack carrying trackers and money and plunges herself into the middle a lot of danger.

On her 30th birthday, no less, and sweet talker, Flynn tracks her down and just barely saves her from annialation. Thus begins a creeping attraction that messes up both Flynn's and Abbie's ideas of what they want out of life.

Quite a wonderful group of characters - We meet Rafe again along with Captian Sarah Fox and Sergeant Jack Norton, Major Mitchell Redinger, Specialist Gonzales and Chief Warrant Officer Esposito.

And of course, Abbie's mother shows up to find out why Abbie does not show up for work, darn, more lies. - Opps, another mix-up with the father of one of her students. Not exactly to Flynn's likeing.

I was definitely disappointed to learn that Abbie had an affair with some twit about 8 years ago. Don't these women ever learn. Sex does not get you a marriage partner. Still it helped to mess up her thoughts about the kind of man she wanted to marry.

Great story, wonderful characters - great pace to the action.
[P.S. why aren't there more stories to the Eagle Squadron?]
Coming up is #3 - the story of Sarah Fox -

DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED --M - maybe a keeper set.
