Amazing,
By
This review is from: Seven Hells (Hardcover)
10 years ago, I met Dr. Stabholz when he gave a lecture at my High School. I was completely in awe of his story and amazed at all he lived through. Time and time again, he managed to evade death at the hands of the nazis and lived to tell his tale about it. This story was written in the days after being rescued as a way to get the nightmares out of his head. He weaves his tale starting from the beginning of his capture to his salvation at Dachau a few years later. It's amazing that anyone could survive all that he has been through, but he has and leaves a legacy in his story of what really happened.
I have meant to read his book since I met him but it was only available through the local B. Dalton bookstore which went under but I finally got a copy recently and read it within 2 days. If someone manages to get a copy, I highly reccomend the read. I remember him saying that it was also available at the Holocaust museum in Washington D.C. but I'm not sure if that's still the case. Hopefully someone will pick this up, reedit it with an ending that has a bit more info about what happened to him afterwards.

review of Seven Hells,
By A Customer
This review is from: Seven Hells (Hardcover)
I had the pleasure of having Thaddeus Stabholz as my doctor when I was a child and I remember him as a very kind friendly doctor who my mom says was the best doctor there was. I just read 'Seven Hells' for the first time and I can not imagine how this man survived what he went through. If you have not read this book, I suggest reading it. You will better understand what happened during the Holocaust and you will finish thinking, could you survive these seven concentration camps like Dr. Stabholz.

This book was awesome. It was involved and helps realize what went on during the Holocaust. The man in the book survived going through seven concentration camps and lived to write about everyone of them. His book is poingant and kept me interested. I would recommend this book to everyone to help realize how bad and how graphic the Holocaust was.
