Wonderful and practical guide for your Spiritual Path,
By Florcita (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Seven Initiations of the Spiritual Path (Paperback)
The author describes in this book the diferent stages of the Spiritual path, and the diferent paths people may choose to do their Spiritual work, and how they look in our every day life, which is where most of us are doing our Spiritual work this days!!! I liked it specially because it acknowledges the fact that there are several paths a person can take to achieve the diferent stages, rather than just acknowledging one path as the right one. I think whoever reads it can recognize where they are at in their own path with the guidance of this book, and can benefit from it. This book irradiates compasion, uncondicional Love, non-judgement and peace!!! I finished reading it, and keep going back to it for guidance.

This is a little book that packs a huge punch. Very well put together and easy to understand. I love that it is not about making any path "wrong" and all events are useful, if we realize this. My favorite, learning lessons the hard way or the easy way....."love and acceptance", it's easy if we choose that road. Great, useful information, easy read and a wonderful reference. I have had this book for 4 years and love to go back for pearls.

A beautifully compiled manuscript describing our evolution towards wholeness and bliss!,
This review is from: The Seven Initiations of the Spiritual Path (Paperback)
"The Seven Initiations" radiates an empowering, compassionate message
explaining that the challenges we experience on earth are related to seven major initiations everyone experiences. Dr. Michael Mirdad does a SPECTACULAR job explaining our spiritual evolution as human beings, while at the same time, relating each of life's initiations to each of our seven chakras, known as "spiritual centers" in the yogic system. Most importantly, Dr. Mirdad creatively guides the reader through each initiation or "major challenge"---describing how it looks, feels, and the lessons we should expect from each. I loved it! It was easy to read and understand. By the end of the book, I was convinced that every human being could, indeed, experience Heaven on Earth---that peaceful state of being we all long for involving wholeness, Love, and inner freedom. After reading the book, I immediately understood what initiation I was going through, personally, based upon the challenges and experiences in my life at that time. The book gave me something to look forward to and brought more lightness into my life, as I began recognizing that each challenge was part of an initiation---not a problem. An amazing, extraordinary book that can propel one forward on their spiritual path! I would recommend it to anyone. Ingrid P. Balanced Sprituality,
By Bella Rae (Dallas, Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Seven Initiations of the Spiritual Path (Paperback)
I loved this book!!! I have read many books over the last couple of years as I embarked on my own spiritual journey and I found this book to be one of the most balanced and thorough approaches to walking through the stages of healing and spiritul growth. The author seems to be a master at condensing large volumes of information into simple, concise and poignant concepts. I appreciated the authors approach to correlating the different energy systems in the body to ones spiritual initiations. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for encouragement, motivation or guidance in their journey towards self healing and spirituality.

This is a really good book. It should be required reading for all teenagers. Here you get a complete look at what initiation is, how cultures viewed initiations, and what types of initiations there are. As you should fathom from the cover this book uses the chakra-initiation model. By that it associates each of life's major initiations with one of the subtle body's chakras. This model is workable for many cases but should not be considered exclusive or the end-all-be-all interpretation for initiations. The book has many appropriate quotes. And overall it can be recommended without reservation.
One of the most important points to pay attention to in the book is the distinction given to the healing path vs the spiritual path. Again, like any model it can be useful to look at the life process using these set of abstractions. But again I would say that at the same time the paradox is that the healing path is the same path as the spiritual path. And in truth there is only one path you can tread and that is the path of you becoming more your true self. Don't get hung up on your path having a particular name. Don't limit yourself by following the label of any one religion of view point (I'm a this or that). If you can be content identifying yourself as a human being then you can pass through all of life gifts that much easier. Now for those having tread the spiritual path of self-discovery for some time there is something to note about this book. Each of the first four chakra initiations are given their own chapter and average about nine pages each. However the last three chakras are grouped together and each has about 5 pages average. So I do get the feeling that the author punted towards the end of the book. You do not get as much usable information to orient yourself to those chakras. You should also note that orientations such as the Sufis consider the heart to be the most important center. In this book you kinda get the impression that the chakra initiations are like a graduated ladder system and higher is better which is not necessarily the case. Still, even the book is somewhat lacking in it's end it still has a good finish. This book should be read by everyone starting their spiritual path. If you resonate with this book then you should check out books by the Sufi's such as Awakening: A Sufi Experience.

I found this book after reading Michael Mirdad's latest book, You're Not Going Crazy...You're Just Waking Up!¸ and I liked it just as much. In his wonderful teaching style, Mirdad does an excellent job explaining getting through the stages of healing and spiritual growth. I'm continually amazed at how concisely and clearly he explains complex concepts. This small and powerful book is highly recommended for anyone who needs motivation and guidance on their own spiritual path.

Life's Tests Made Easy!,

This review is from: The Seven Initiations of the Spiritual Path (Paperback)
Ahh, The 7 Initiations of the Spiritual Path - "Understanding the Purpose of Life's Tests" This book took me by the hand and lead me down the "easy" path to understanding what was happening to me as I began my own spiritual initiations. Dr. Mirdad's style of teaching is so brilliant yet simple to understand. In plain language, he explains what you will sense, and validates what you maybe are already be feeling and experiencing, through each initiation and chakra opening. Now, when find myself occasionally ego centered and resisting life's lessons, I know that I am just doing it the "hard way" and can then choose to do it the better "easy way". A great book for anyone who wants to learn how to smoothly move to a higher level of consciousness with grace and speed.

This review is from: The Seven Initiations of the Spiritual Path (Paperback)
Michael's first book and still one of the best. Easy to read and understand the profound issues addressed. Says precisely what he has been talking about for many years. Reading it was like being in the room with him. Down to earth and to the point. I gave it as Christmas presents to friends and family and they were all pleased and enjoyed it very much. You will want to go back and read excepts over and over again.
