Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Review

According to authors David Sachs and Henry Stair, effective Web sites are 1) visually appealing; 2) valuable, useful, or fun; 3) current and timely; 4) easy to find and use; 5) intuitive to navigate; 6) involving and responsive. They demonstrate their points by showcasing more than 100 Web sites and analyzing how they implement these key factors. The authors discuss many of the tradeoffs involved in Web design, showing how items must be prioritized depending on the site's purpose. The result is enlightening reading for anyone who owns or maintains a Web site of any type.

5.0 out of 5 stars 7 Keys to Awesome Web Books!, July 12, 2011

Dr. Book (Bookman's World) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Seven Keys to Effective Web Sites (Spiral-bound)
This is my favorite book on the topic of internet web sites. Lots of cool pictures and words in big type (one of the keys to effective web books) so I don't get bored. Let David Sachs and Henry Stair be your web "masters" before you "slave" away on an ineffective net page.

Neat book, a big, fat book of helpful tips and hits, this book is the HappyPuppy.com of offline internet resources.

I agree with the first guy who reviewed this. This book is awful. I'd give it 0 stars if I could. The question remains as to how this book ever got published. Ick.
