5.0 out of 5 stars I Don't Think There Is A Better Kwanzaa Book., August 8, 2004
I have been looking for a good Kwanzaa book but they are hard to find. Most go through the days laboriously or have some cheesy made-up story that no one cares about as filler. This book is great in the way it is written and how it states the purpose of Kwanzaa and the belief behind it. It sends a much better message about Kwanzaa and how it came to be than other books do. I definitely would recommend this book to many of my students especially my students from African countries.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kwanzaa - The Basic Primer, December 31, 2011
This review is from: Seven Days Of Kwanzaa (Paperback)
When a friend/coworker and I decided to create a way to observe Kwanzaa 15 years ago, this was the first resource we used. Over the years I have purchased other publications - but this keeps it so simple, that I find myself still referring to it after all these years. We knew absolutely nothing about the celebration except its name when we began and I was fearful of not "doing it right" or that it would be too complicated. This simple booklet made it approachable and easy to follow. As a result, Kwanzaa became my family's favorite holiday tradition. My sons are now 31 & 28 & they still look forward to it. My oldest is introducing it too his own 3 yr. old son & 1 y/o dtr. now.
