I Don't Think There Is A Better Kwanzaa Book.,
By Lynn Ellingwood "The ESOL Teacher" (Webster, NY United States) - See all my reviews (VINE VOICE) (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Seven Days of Kwanzaa (School & Library Binding)
I have been looking for a good Kwanzaa book but they are hard to find. Most go through the days laboriously or have some cheesy made-up story that no one cares about as filler. This book is great in the way it is written and how it states the purpose of Kwanzaa and the belief behind it. It sends a much better message about Kwanzaa and how it came to be than other books do. I definitely would recommend this book to many of my students especially my students from African countries.

Kwanzaa - The Basic Primer,

This review is from: Seven Days Of Kwanzaa (Paperback)
When a friend/coworker and I decided to create a way to observe Kwanzaa 15 years ago, this was the first resource we used. Over the years I have purchased other publications - but this keeps it so simple, that I find myself still referring to it after all these years. We knew absolutely nothing about the celebration except its name when we began and I was fearful of not "doing it right" or that it would be too complicated. This simple booklet made it approachable and easy to follow. As a result, Kwanzaa became my family's favorite holiday tradition. My sons are now 31 & 28 & they still look forward to it. My oldest is introducing it too his own 3 yr. old son & 1 y/o dtr. now.

Dupe-Invented Holiday,
By Sliver (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Seven Days Of Kwanzaa (Paperback)
Unfortunately, Kwanzaa was concocted by an FBI dupe. FACT.
quote, WND, "It is a fact that Kwanzaa was invented in 1966 by a black radical FBI stooge, Ron Karenga, aka Dr. Maulana Karenga. Karenga was a founder of United Slaves, a violent nationalist rival to the Black Panthers and a dupe of the FBI." "Kwanzaa was the result of a '60s psychosis grafted onto black community. Liberals have become so mesmerized by multicultural nonsense that they have forgotten the real history of Kwanzaa and United Slaves - the violence, the Marxism, the insanity. Most absurdly, for leftists anyway, is that they have forgotten the FBI's tacit encouragement of this murderous black nationalist cult founded by the father of Kwanzaa." I seriously encourage you to do some research into the truth about Kwanzaa. Here is a link to get you started. (The Kwanzaa Hoax) http://www.textbookleague.org/114kwanz.htm -Sliver |
