In Mike Bickle's energetic style he covers all of the bases in this book, giving an overview of the revelation of the end times church, Jesus' bride. He explains his perspective of the bridal paradigm and the basis of all human need,to be satisfied and fascinated with God. He outlines 7 longings that are given to humankind that can only be satisfied by God...through a relationship with His Son, Jesus Christ...Bridegroom, Judge, and King. I highly recommend this book for folks who struggle with addiction/dependency to anything/one, as it will help to uncover the root of why one searches to fill human emptiness with substances, people, and things that will never satisfy the human soul.

This book deals with many of the 'root things' that motivate us. Also, has an awesome section on the importance of the Bridal Paradigm, a recent emphasis on God's people as the longed-for bride of Jesus. Highly recommended for all, but especially those with a deep longing to know and enjoy God in a real way.

For every heart that is empty. For every heart that is not finding what you are looking for, this book is for you!

If you only read one book this year, or this decade, this is the book to read (other than the Bible, of course).
You will understand the reasons for various longings, yes, longings, not desires, of you, your family and the humanity in general.

So profound and so much insight.

The book is awesome because of the content and the readable style the author uses.

I love this book. This book greatly helped me in my struggle against gaming addiction. It teaches us that our desires can only truly be satisfied in God alone.

I found this book to very insightful about God and they way He designed us. In understanding the longings of our hearts we come to see Him drawing us towards Himself. He does this through us by sharing His immense love and desire for us to be united with Him. We all feel these tugs on our heart and longings for something more but we often try to alleviate it with something lesser than God and get into trouble.Mike writes in such a smooth flowing style that makes it easy to follow. Like floating down a lazy river and taking in all the beautiful sights as you drift along and soak it all in. Well written with a powerful and necessary message that will help you love and understand yourself and God much more.

The content of the book is great. I bought two of them, but one of them has manufacture defects. A few pages are folded and bonded.
