I have to say this CD was a BIG disappointment to me considering what I paid for it - $17.00 plus shipping. It seemed very short - under 20 minutes - which made me think that I had paid about a dollar per minute to listen to it. It is conducted as an interview with the author interspersed with some filler stock music between the questions and answer segments. The folks are speaking very slowly and for the life of me I can't think of any advice or mention of any ground breaking mistakes that someone who has even a modicum of professionalism hasn't already figured out. For instance, I was a little disheartened to hear that I shouldn't send in applications with coffee stains on them. HOWEVER I also purchased the book 187 Tips for Artists: How to Create a Successful Art Career--and Have Fun in the Process! by the same author. I found this a more useful investment of my funds. The book contains everything the author mentions here on the CD (and then some) in a "personal-affirmation-a-day" type format that is informal and feels more personal. I tend to think that this CD is a "Resume Enhancer" for the author.

This is really a great CD. I think it is really helpful for anyone who is artistic or creative and want to move forward in their career!!
Someone gave this to me as a gift and I most definitely recommend it for an artist at every level.
